He has always been a B level champion.

Its just taken time for some psychotic nuthuggers to realise.

He's never been hyped, not even by the most ignorant limey on here..
Honestly has anyone on here ever heard someone say "Junior Witter is the greatest 140lber around." or "Witter is going to crush this guy"? No it never happened because he's NOT hyped....When Witter fights nobody really cares. So how does that define hype? I'm mystified

Just look at some of Fat Joes, Scurlantings ans Betty Swollocks posts, they consistently criticise Hatton whilst Championing Witter as the number 1 in the division. Sad but true

Witter had been good recently and all the credit has to go to Bradley because he had the composure to go to the champion's house and expose the weaknesses in his unorthodox style. I was impressed with Bradley who is a very good all around boxer and comes in great shape.

I understand this somewhat as both Hatton and Witter suck and in all honesty if Hatton isnt allowed to fight dirty or wrestle than he will be beaten by any skilled fighter of equal size...Malignaggi will be the next owner of Ricky Hatton, bet on it. Aside from this it IS pretty silly to call Witter the champion of 140 even before he was beaten by Bradley

I was extremely impressed by Bradley. He may not have the goods to compete against the likes of a Cotto or a Mayweather when they were at 140, but he was all class against Witter.

Witter can go back to the domestic circuit now. He's finished on the world stage, or on the Hatton stage unless Ricky loses unexpectedly.

So, that performance catapults Witter into contention for a Ricky fight ala Castillo and Malignaggi don't it?
    :rofl

Agreed:good I believe that Witter is still a decent top level fighter with one or two more good preformances in him. But the difficiencies in his style were just exposed by a guy who could punch with him, had the patience to wait out his spoiling and the dedication to stick to his game plan.

If anything was exposed for me it was Witter's lack of heart. But I guess that can't really be seen as exposed as it was decently apparent before hand with the way he fights and his preformance against Judah.

Everytime Witter jumped in to throw a punch Bradley punched with him. Everytime Witter got hit. But he wouldn't get hit too hard and he was in position to fire back but instead he'd have this pathetic "what do I do now" look on his face. So he'd jump back out or let Bradley tie him up.

People often critisize defensive fighters. But the measure of a defensive fighter is whether or not he is up for the fight when he does get hit. Witter wasn't up for the fight. Guys like Floyd and Marquez are.

I have good reason to be feeling rather smug right now.

Hahahahaha! Time and time again I've said that Witter isn't that good. At all. And that Hatton would destroy him.

hatton may not be an elite WW but at JWW he's #1 and never come close to losing, so saying he sucks, says more about you than it does hatton.

and as far as malignaggi goes, we'll probably see by the end of the year, but i'm sure hatton is quaking in his boots, especially after seeing malignaggi's last performance. his biggest claim to fame is not being ko'd by a weight drained cotto.
