    Junior Witter the destroyer of champions!

    Junior Witter the most feared man in boxing!

    The truth! Junior Witter at this moment in time is one of the most overated fighters out there! Ricky Hatton is called a bum and he has never fought any elite fighters except for Mayweather and when he finally did he was exposed, what aload of ****!

    What about Tszyu? he was no spring chicken but after he fought Sharmba Mitchell he "was back", but after the Hatton fight all the haters and for some reason there are a lot of you said Tszyu was over the hill, sheer bollocks!! ( by the way Tszyu is my fav fighter of all time).

    If Hatton hasnt beat an elite fighter then tell me the awesome resume of elite fighters that Junior Witter has??

    Hatton is called for his last few opponents yet lets look at Witters last six:-

    6) Lovemore Ndou 39-7-1 (26) when he fought witter

    Witter scored 2 knockdowns and only just scraped home with a decision 111-115 112-114 112-114 if it wasnt for the knockdowns it would have been a draw, since then Malignaggi has gone on to beat Ndou in a more impressive manor.

    5) Andreas Kotelnik 24-1 (11)

    Witter was awful and faded down the stretch just like he had done against Ndou scraping home 114-115 114-115 111-117 , since he fought Witter he has gone and drawn with Mbaye, the same Mbaye who lost to Gavin Rees, whom everyone is slating Hatton for wanting to fight even though its not going to happen.

    4) Colin Lynes 26-2 (9)

    Witter won by a points margin of 112-117 112-116 114-115, Lynes then went on to by ko'd in his next fight against Lenny Dawes.

    3) Demarcus Corley 31-4-1 (17)

    Apparentley this was an awesome performance by Witter, but in truth Corley was and is finished as a top 15 light welterweight, Corley then went on to lose his next 2 fights.

    2) Arturo Morua 24-7-1 (13)

    Morua had lost his last 3 fights prior to fighting Witter. Witter had the chance to make a massive statemant by destroying a feather fisted journeyman and he struggled up until the finish. ko9

    1) Vivian Harris 28-2-1 (18)

    This is the big one Witters apparent greatest performance, lets put things into perspective Hatton gets slated for fighting Maussa yet Witter gets praised for beating the man who lost to the man that Hatton beat? Harris v Witter was a close fight but the finish was good ko7

    Iam not a Hatton fan or a Witter hater its just everyone seems to be riding the Witter nuthugging ride, claiming Hattons **** yet Witters best win was against a guy who lost to one of Hattons worst opponents.

    p.s. If Hatton is so scared of Witter why the hell did he travel across the world, move up a weight to fight one of the greatest fighters of all.

    Couldn't agree more. I dont really know where all these witter fans on here come from, couse if they all went to watch him fight he may actually sell out donny dome.

    Good post lol.....but to be fair to Junior,he does look sharper now than he has ever done,I just don't think its sharp enough to beat Ricky,but I think he'd do Paulie and Rees.....

    I put it down to money why the fight does'nt happen....Junior won't get the interest generated in the states on PPV,so I only think it will happen when Ricky is about to hang up his gloves regardless of what the British public want to see....it's a shame because Junior won't get any better than he is now.

    I do think Witter deserves a shot, but when Hatton fought Castillo people were still saying what about Witter, when he fought Mayweather people were saying what about Witter, its bollocks!

    Some people dont like Hatton for what ever reason but championing Witter like the next Sugar Ray Robinson is a joke.

    Ive met Witter once he was a nice bloke down to earth and ive met Hatton a few times around the local boxing events in the north west and what you saw on Hatton/Mayweather 24/7 isexactly what he is like a quality bloke, if he is acting he is a quality actor!

    They do need to get it on but i dont see who Witter has beat to deserve it just because the Ring Magazine have him at number 2!

    Witter fights to the level his opponent is. He will struggle agaisnt **** but dominate class. Strange but true.

    He counters well, but gets caught which, if any potential trouble, his good chin gets him out of. It should be a fight which happens soon and hopefully will.

    Thing is With the Rees fight out and Hopkins Witter winner to fight Malignaggi, who the hells hatton going to fight, Young Muttley??

    you can rip practically anyone's record apart. OK Hatton fought the p4p best but he got his arse kicked in that.
    For example...had Harris and Muassa fought a rematch, Harris would have been installed as still a decent favourite....that's a fact. Harris is not great but that was a fluke win by Maussa. Was Rahman favourite over Lennox in the rematch? Of course not...far from it.

    I'm a long term Witter fan, it's not about comparing who they have fought....it's about why the fight has not happended and why Ricky has ducked him for years. Witter has the belt, the record and the status at 140....Hatton continues to duck him.

    not true. He's looked spectacular against some sub-par opponents, and fought negatively and cautiously against anyone half-decent. When he was knocking out journeymen in south yorkshire in front of 300 fans a time he looked good, but against all those fighters mentioned he had difficulties.

    Witter is a good fighter, but he doesnt have a good work ethic when he fights. Hatton is constant pressure, whereas Witter fights in bursts. He takes rounds off, and has suspect stamina. Against N'dou he was totally in control, and he just let N'Dou back into the fight and only just got the verdict. Against Harris he could hurt him at will, but carried the carcass of C-Level fighter 9 rounds instead of dominating. You cant take your foot off the gas with Hatton, you have to match his workrate aswell as his in-fighting. Hatton will hurt him badly.

    If anyobdy saw Harris vs Lacuanzo you would no Harris was in top condition as deffinatley not shot.

    The pay would have not been great for the fight as well so he would have been determined to win as it would have out him right back in the picture.

    The lacuanzo fight was one of his top 3 wins.

    i think hatton should fight witter,but i agree with everything you say about witter imo.the people who talk up witter are not basically witter fans just hatton haters.
