That argument doesn't hold ground to me. I'm not really a Witter fan but I do see why he is so frustrated at the situation. Obviously a fight with Paulie would be the biggest financially to Ricky because he has a big following stateside. If however Ricky wants to fight in the UK next then he will not be fighting Paulie because he will not travel. Who out of all the other 140 fights would generate more money than a Hatton/Witter fight? I can't think of one. It was a shame that Witter bust his hand when he fought on the Hopkins/Eastman undercard as this was his big opportunity to showcase his skills in America. Also when he faced Judah he let himself down. Most people who do not like Witter are Hatton nuthuggers and fanboys who fail to give him respect because he is a thorn in Hatton's side. Regardless of whether you like him as a person you have to agree that he does have boxing skills.
I dont think so, i wouldnt mind seeing Malignaggi Witter though i think the styles would make a pretty good fight.:bbb
Yes, possibly the best knockout of his career against his toughest oppoent in a 50/50 fight really wasn't a quality finish. Yes, Hatton did well against has-been's Catillo and Tszyu. And surprisngly he did well again C class opponents Magee and Tackie :tired I don't even know why I'm arguing, I like Hatton. I've been to see him fight, I've followed him. I just know Witter beats him.
Im finished with this anyways now your arguments keep covering the same old ground, If Castillo and Tszyu were washed up then thats your opinion, a crap one!, but everybodys entitled to their own. But i agree that Magee is a c level fighter but why did Witter refuse to fight him?:bbb and if Tszyu and Castillo are or should i say were washed up then what does that make Corley, Harris and Ndou who after losing to Witter got dropped and completley outclassed by Malignaggi Just my opinion, probabley crap but you know.:good
I mean as many people have gathered on here I am not the biggest fan of witter, but saying that what pbf did to hatton so would witter is laughable because they are not on the same stratisphere boxing terms. Oh does witter use the shoulder roll oh and has he got that check hook no. Twelve punches a round yeah hatton quaking in his boots. Lets see how he does against hopkins before u saying he his the second coming. At least this fight will be on sky because johnny nelson will want to watch his mate.
As do yours. You can say all you want about Witter's opponents and I can be equally annoying and go with the 'past it' excuse for Hatton's best wins. All I know is Witter KO7 Hatton. That will be all.
I'm not sure Witter will throw that many punches per round. There was a time when stamina and durability were major strengths for Hatton but I fear his lifestyle has diminished this significantly. I still back Hatton to stop Witter though due to all that posing and posturing he likes to fill rounds with. Hatton won't give him the time or space for any Eubank impressions. This fight will more than likely be an ugly, uninspiring affair which I feel Hatton will wins on points.
I like both Hatton and Witter... So yeay i've disproved that theory... However I would rather watch either take a shite then watch Junior or Ricky in the ring with Maligianni. He brings nothing but a paper belt to the table.... Witter-Hatton is a must.
Hatton greatest win was against the linear champ at 140. Witter doesn't have this opportunity because Hatton is the so called linear champ at 140 now and will not fight him.
At last i was stating to think I was on my own. Good post I think hatton will fight Witter but on his terms and when he is ready.:good
Spot on Witter has more ability than Hatton, but the guy has achieved **** all Going over to Yankland is a step in the right direction I suppose
Why thank you very much:good I can still remember when Hatton had just beaten Jon Thaxton and at the ringside interview Witter got in his face and called him out. I can understand Witter calling him out but its the timing and way he went about it my initial reaction was "what a ****in *****" but ive met Witter since then and he is quite a cool guy. I dont think for 1 second Hatton is scared of Witter, why should he be he has been in against one of the greatest at 140 and won in Tszyu who hits alot harder than Witter, and he has been in with a far superior boxer in Mayweather although he lost he was on even terms after 6rnds and if Hatton fought Witter this is were i could see Hatton taking over, imo.
