After knocking out former world champion Vivian Harris (Guyana/USA) in his last fight in September, Witter is looking to produce another brilliant performance in front of the ITV1 (UK) and ShoBox Special (USA) cameras for a watching television audience on both sides of the Atlantic.

He said: "It’s a great chance for me to show a wider audience what I can do, and I intend to grab that opportunity and show the world I’m the best light-welterweight in boxing right now.”

"Some people who will have perhaps heard of me but not seen me box will get the chance to see me in action for the first time and they won’t be disappointed.”

"Bradley is a top opponent and the better opponent the better I perform… just ask Vivian Harris. Bradley has got a great knockout ratio as his record suggests, so I expect him to be aggressive and he will come to fight, which is just how I like them.”

"After seeing me box in front of a massive TV audience both in the UK and the States, once I do a job on Bradley even more people will be asking: why won’t Ricky Hatton fight Junior Witter?"

Is this guy serious? Bradley a top opponent and that what makes it even funnier is that he says he has a great KO ratio. 21 wins and 11 KO's? Maybe it's me but that doesn't sound to great especially considering his opposition. And I understand he wants Hatton and Hatton should fight him, but does he have to run his mouth about him in every interview? This guy's a joke and I hope Bradley with his incredible KO ratio knocks his ass out

No, the only joke is Richard Hatton, for not fighting him

Hahaha you're right...In Witter's eyes Bradley's his best opponent and that definitely deserves a shot at the TOP DOG at 140. Isn't there a Calzaghe thread somewhere?

No, he deserves a shot because he is the #1 ranked light welter, and holds the WBC belt, or is that not enough these days? Do you have to be an ATG like Lazcano to get a shot?

    Take the blinkers off sunshine.

Just because he's ranked #1 don't mean ****. Berto's ranked #1 does that mean he deserves a shot already? Christ, everyone criticizes the rankings but when someone is a hater they bring it out to their advantage. Funny how that works. And it's raining here, I aint got no blinkers on.

Hatton's fighting Paulie next, right? Hence why Paulie's on his under-card and talks about him all the time?

Seems like Witter has a bit more waiting to do, if true.

I'm pretty sure that's the plan if they both win.

He's #1 or 2 on any reasonable persons lists, including the ring magazine, **** the alphabets

Besides the point really. He's been trying to get this fight for about 5 years now. The only thing more boring than hearing about it are the pathetic excuses Ricky and his fanboys come out with

"He ain't a draw" - And Vilches, Tackie, Maussa, Urango, Lazcano, Magee need I go ****ing on are?

"He talks too much, he's upset Ricky" - Boo ****ing hoo! Do your fighting in the ring, shut him up like a real man

Hatton looks like a joke right now. He's got a guy living 50 miles down the road, that he has conveniently managed to avoid fighting over the years, to the extent they are both ranked 1 and 2 :rofl

Do you feel Witter KO's Hatton or do you just think he's ducking and don't like him for that? How do you feel the fight pans out?

Witter is a good fighter but he aint the best light welter out there ..........

The thing is I am actually pretty torn on this fight, I don't favour either guy strongly - and it frustrates the **** out of me because if Hatton keeps avoiding it history won't look back kindly on him

Witter has the style to beat him. Punches from awkward angles, can switch southpaw (Hatton hates southpaws), good defence, excellent counterpunching. Pretty much poison for Hatton. However, he can lose concentration and take time outs, in which case Hatton could outwork him

I'm 60/40 Witter purely based on styles, and this is the main reason I believe Hatton ducks him. He isn't scared of him, I don't believe fighters get scared, however he was worried Witter would upset his big money matchups

I think Hatton has to take the fight eventually or it could ruin him in respect. I'm a pretty big Hatton fan and if Witter keeps winning he's got to take it sometime or even I'll lose some respect for him. But thats the reason, if Hatton should lose this fight for whatever reason, people will think he's the biggest joke in boxing so even though I favor Hatton, there'd be a lot on his shoulders. But I just wish Witter would stop talking about him for at least one interview.

I am a huge Ricky Hatton fan but it is increasingly pissing me off how he won't fight Witter. He is fighting Lazcano then Malinaggi, I know he is fighting Paulie after the Lazcano fight because he pretty much said so himself on Soccer AM.
I just don't get it why Hatton won't fight Witter because Ricky would KO Witter in the 10th round. ;)
