first off all, what you say is nonsense.

so you say hatton has NOTHING to gain by fighting witter??? let me try to find some reasons:

1)well, witter does hold the wbc belt for starters. he is ranked at the very top of the jr. welter devision.

2)it would be a great fight in britain........something for the FANS!!!
and little ricky is so in love with his fans right???

    3) he gets to show that boxing is not just "all about money". he can show its about personal pride and about the fans (see above)

4)he gets to pound the **** of a guy who totally disrispected him!!!
like it or not, that is how real men in rickys position would deal with such a thing!!!
an investment banker would call his lawyer.

what kind of a man are you if you dont agree??
trying to anger him by NOT fighting him is just pathetic for A FIGHTER!!
if those are hattons true colours, he should find a different, less martial line of work.

5)he gets to silence his critics.......you know, those who claim he aint the best in britain....has been ducking witter for years.

so all in all, its the perfect fight for hatton. unless he is just looking for an easy way out.

I wouldn't mind seeing the fight happen myself, but Witter is not the most marketable of fighters.
I don't believe Hatton has refused to fight him due to some "disrespect" issue, it's just that Ricky had plans that didn't include Witter, who has a habit of making good fighters look bad.
Ricky does not have to fight Witter to prove he's a "man".

If a british fighter can get to the point in which he is challenging the p4p number in a fight, and he gets the fight then he deserves respect.

I feel that Witter has disrespected Hatton too many times, now for him to consider a fight with him now. In the past, Hatton has chosen great fights to gradually progress his career to this highest level.

I agree with you, that Hatton does not need Witter and will not need him ever in the future.:bbb

Witter was green when he fought Judah, but he didn't hold his own. He was dominated.

A damn shame too because if that's all the powers that be see on his record instead of the incredible streak he's put together.

The win over Corley was pure boxing class.

I think he will eventually get his due being promoted by Golden Boy. What he needs to do is to start working on his fanbase back home in England. Once Oscar sees the $$$ to be made in an all English affair between two boxers in the public eye, THEN he will get his fight. But all this calling out is not gonna help, since Ricky is the apple of the Englishmen's eye right now, even after the loss to PBF.

Right now Hennessey has to really do his job and promote his image in England. One thing would be to lure 140 pound Americans over to England for Witter to knock them out. Corley and Harris were good starts. One mistake for him is that he should've been pushing unification with Paulie off the bat. Now he's gonna lose him to Hatton.

Another thing he can do is to bite the bullet and fight on HBO undercards against name fighters. Although it'll be for chump change, he'll get name and face recognition to at least get casual fans talking about him in the 140 pound chase.

Witter won 4-5 rounds on 1weeks notice against Judah when he was green and unexperienced.

If you want to see dominated watch Mayweather-Hatton

The only place I have heard anybody saying they think witter will beat hatton is on this forum. I would like to see this fight but hatton is going to **** up witter. Witter has never been a big enough draw for hatton to fight. Witter couldent sell out his own lounge when he fights. Thats why hatton has never fought him he can not ****ing stand the bloke why would he want to give him his biggest payday off his life just because he called him out. I know he called out floyd and floyd said yes but floyd made a stupid amount of money from that fight what does witter bring to the table hatton is the draw but all that said winner takes all takes balls but again from a business point of view a risk for hatton. Its the fighters that take the risks not the fans far to much disrespect for fighters in general on this forum its only what 10 days from the mayweather fight give hatton a break

Junior Witter has only been beaten once, by Zab Judah. A fight Witter took at afew days noticed, and lasted the distance. Junior Witter is World Class he has the WBC belt, no question.

I think Ricky Hatton is scared of Junior Witter, he should of smacked him in the face at BBC sports personality of the year, last year. Technically i think Junior Witter is more of a devastating fighter than Floyd Mayweather offensively. He is like a compact version of Roy Jones slightly, very athletic.

A makes almost every he fights look bad against him, because of the movement and angles.

I don't think Junior Witter will let this case rest, along as he is champion People think Ricky Hatton will walk through Paulie Malignaggi are so very wrong. This is another fighter that technically can course Ricky hatton serious problems, he is very talented, fantastic movement and speed.

He went 12 rounds with Miguel Cotto, i particularly think he is scared or intimdated by Ricky Hatton. I can see it now, Paulie Malignaggi could possibly defeat Ricky Hatton, and then Junior Witter will face Paulie Malignaggi Unify the titles.

Then Ricky Hatton will be calling out Junior Witter. I think it is more personal towards Rikcy Hatton, Junior Witter just simply wants to beat him up.

    :huh what??

witter is not "the most marketable fighter"???

but bums like michael stewart were??? Witter at least has a major belt and is british........so if this is not at least big fight in britain....then what is???

Now suddenly hatton doesnt refuse to fight him because of "disrispect issues"??
    hatton had "other plans"????

what kind of plans are there that simply cant include witter???
how many fighters at jr.welter can claim that they are better than witter???
    mallinaggi???torres???rees???

ANSWER: not one of them. they can claim so, but they have not proven it.
witter is as good as they come at jr. welter.

so HATTON cant include the guy who should be considered his number one contender (if you believe hatton to still be champ)???

no offense, but what kind of plans are those???

that is plain dodging!!! NOTHING ELSE!!

each and every one of the excuses Hatton and his fans make can be shot down in flames very, very easily.
They just don't wash and the Hatton zealots just end up looking stupid.
It's pretty simple....Hatton clearly does not want to share a ring with Witter.
    it's ****ing pathetic.

Wow nice excuse.. But when its the other way around and Hatton personally disrespects Floyd then its different? At least Floyd accepted his challenge when he was dissed by Hatton.. Hatton is DUCKING Witter.
