honestly if ricky aint fighting him, because he was disrespected he should get the hell out of the fight game. that's usually how big fights are made.

Witter was offering himself, asking for peanuts or nothing.....just to lift the lid off this bull**** situation where he gets no respect while Hatton's career has been carefully cultivated. Warren and Hatton ****ed Witter over...kept him lurking in the shadows like the ugly gargoyle.
This is not a recent thing...Hatton was fighting chumps like Smith, Vilches, Pedersen etc. in front for packed arenas......how how can the Hatton zealots say Witter has never 'deserved' the fight? :nut

 

good point foquinha. freddie pendleton was dug out of the graveyard, when he was put in the ring with hatton. witter is more than deserving of a shot.

Witter has EARNT a shot - He's defeated Vivian Harris and earned his belt.

I don't particularly like the guy or his methods, but take it out on him in the ring, not worry about the money.

For ****s sake, Hatton just pulled 20 million pounds, who cares about money - Fight the guy for crying out loud.

It's not like Hatton has only just started ducking Witter - he's been doing it for years. While Hatton was WBU champion the top four LWW's in Britain were: Hatton, Witter, Magee and Smith. He fought Magee and Smith but never Witter.

Ricky's latest excuse: I don't want to give Witter a payday because he upset me. When PBF was upset by Hatton's comments after the Castillo fight (more action in four rounds than PBF's career...) he made the fight despite the fact that Hatton would get by far his biggest payday. He then proceeded to teach Hatton a lesson in the ring. This is how issues like this get resolved between boxers. I think Hatton's fans just have to accept that maybe he knows something they don't.

 

I'm a big Hatton fan and I can forgive him for avoiding Witter to get where he's at now for money and fame reasons.

However, Hatton can't have any excuses for not fighting Witter now. Witter holds the nmost prestigious belt in the division and the fight would be massive in the UK (where Hatton has already stated he is fighting next).

If Hatton doesn't take Witter on now then I agree he is ducking him no doubt.

No, Hatton isnt acting like a coward, he's just acting like a awkward ****er. He has no reason to be scared of a guy like Witter. He just doesnt want to. Which is a shame because its the best fight at the light welterweight limit right now.
