Becuase your post was juvenile. Your completely unaware of the "history" of both fighters and are clearly a "new" fan. No one witha shred of credibility would make an argument on the basis of "deserving" for Hatton not to fight Witter. Thats just a joyboy post who follows his fighter like a football team. If you was a fan of boxing you wouldnt post such infantile rubbish.

Please explain WHY Hatton after over a decade refused to fight Witter citing a plethora of excuses. Please also explain the history for us as it appears you are aware of a few things that most of the board arent..

who the **** do you think you are. the knowledge of boxing or something, do you think its some kind of compeition. you seem very very insecure and immature. Yes witter had called out hatton every oppertunity , and complained 24/7, whilst Hatton was taking care of the likes of Tszyu and Castillo and taking one the best p4p and one of the greats if not the great of an era, now he's come back from defeat and challenging the leading no2 of a division that witter is in, witter couldnt come through an unknown quantity in Bradley. If he had beaten Bradley, he would have been in line for a shot at Ricky and imo would have got it, but no he slipped at the final hurdle again. I know witter challeneged Judah along time ago whilst Judah was ranked no1, but he got carnaged, he had no chance, and yeah big deal he took the fight at short notice, but if your a world class fighter you should be able to give anybody a good fight at any time. He was done good and proper. what you say doesnt mean ****, i dont believe in what you say, i do not agree with what you say and basically i think your knowledge is utter ****. so carry on if you want to throw your childish accusations and insults around, it smells so much of bs its unbelievable

The jury rests. I was pretty sure your memory only stretches back a year at best amongst the other joyboy crap you`ve read on this board. Your post confirms that unequivocally.

look no body has to answer to you, your opinion is NOTHING, big deal you support witter, who wasnt good enough to fight the best fighters on the world scene unlike hatton. Perhaps witter should take on gavin rees, same level of ability. think junior could just win that one.

Hardly that, he simply doesn't like the guy and doesn't want him earning a shedload of money and making his name off the back of Hatton's popularity, which he would do win or lose. Would be a bit strange for a guy who relished the chance to step in with Tszyu, Castillo and Mayweather to "bottle it" from a guy who was not half the fighter that any of those legends were. If Witter was so desperate for the fight, he could have made a formal offer to Hatton at any point. The fact that he didn't suggests Mr Witter wasn't quite as enthusiastic as he might have us believe and was simply using the incessant babbling about Hatton to try and get his name in the papers.

Hatton was too scared of fighting Witter when Witter was in his prime.

The PBF, Castillo and Kostya fights were about money. Hatton kept his WBU belt for so long to avoid serious fights and to make money. He is a slightly better version of Gary Lockett.

Well yeah I'm sure they were to some extent. None of these guys are in the game for the fun of it. And, strangely enough, the bigger the challenge a fighter takes on, the more he tends to get paid for it. Does not detract from the fact that they were some of the best fighters out there. If a fighter is not scared of stepping in the ring with these guys, I find it very unlikely that he's going to be scared to step into the ring with somebody who is not half the fighter they were. It seems as though for most of those who don't like Hatton on this board, this is the major bone of contention, the fact that he earns a lot.

Yeah I agree he dwelled on the WBU belt a little too long (probably still would be if Warren had his way), but don't forget despite the "world title" label, those were his learning fights. He was a 20-odd fight prospect fighting at essentially British title level when he first won it. The likes of Magee, Hutchinson, Tackie, Stewart etc... were his learning fights, the "move through the ranks" bouts. The same kind of way Sambo, Kinuthia, Lauri etc... were for Witter, though Hatton's were of a better standard. It was the fighter himself who forced the "serious fights" by threatening to leave Warren if he didn't deliver Kostya Tszyu.

As for the last comment, I'm not biting on that one, you know better than that ;)

Yeah, and when Hatton was going through those "learning" fights why the hell didn't he fight Witter instead of can after can?

There were countless opportunites for the fight to take place, and all we got from Hatton, his father and team of lawyers is Witter "is not a big enough name", but apparently Vilches was. He was also very very nasty to Ricky, so instead of fighting him like a real man I'll avoid him and really put him in his place! :rofl

It's a joke. The only time Hatton had an excuse for it was when he was fighting Tszyu, Castillo, Mayweather and maybe Collazo. He's the only British fighter I can remember that so blatantly avoided his nearest domestic rival for years.
