It's good that you've decided not to be the devil's advocate for once.

Hatton deserved a shot at Tszyu by being the MANDATORY CHALLENGER. A position Witter was too busy talking to get himself into.

Yet if you become mandatory challenger for one of Hatton's titles he will simply vacate it.

    Good point Sleazeman!

But regardless of whether you are a Hatton fan or Witter fan (or should I say Hatton hater - to be more accurate) the fight should now happen.

No excuses - Junior has paid his dues. We could let Ricky off if he had a Mayweather rematch, or De La Hoya at Wembley perhaps, but not some easy tuneup and Paulie!

To be fair Mike - some of the mandatories put in front of Hatton have been shite, and I have been in total agreement with vacating the title.

that fight should never happen. hatton should stay the **** away from the 147 division unless he wants another nailed on arse whipping but for a good price.

Some of you guys are obviously enthralled with Witter. Why don't you put you efforts into threads and posts about Witters next fight rather then discussing Ricky Hatton all the time.

I haven't seen any of you posting your thoughts about his next fight. You just keep talking about Ricky "the hitman" Hatton.

I agree about staying away from 147 - but if he were to get another shot at Mayweather at 140, everyone would advise he take it. OK he would probably lose, but that would be more justifiable than avoiding Witter to face ***gi

I don't mind Wicky, but I have to admit that I can never in a million years see him beating Floyd. He had a punchers chance in the last fight, but the change in weight removed that, and his wild shots couldn't land clean on Floyd at all (he is far to slick) and the also leave him wide open. Its a dream match up for Floyd.

I don't blame him personally for trying to avenge his defeat though, even though it may be a little deluded.

If it was to happen I think they may well move it to 140 to stoke up the interest and sales. Give it an extra edge. Floyd was too comfortable at 147.

Great just what the forum needs, another whinging Witter thread. Couldn't this point have been made in one of the other threads on the subject?

He's best by a mile? The man barely got by Kotelnik. There is NO outstanding candidate to fight Hatton, and a fight with Witter bears no more importance than a fight with, say, Malignaggi.
