I would love to see Hatton v Witter

 

Hatton can take on a series of world wide fights that can net him between 10 and 20 million pounds (20 to 40 million dollars) or risk losing the whole lot for a few hundred thousand pounds, for a fight with a man he doesnt like, has been bad mouthing him for years, and can fight anytime.

The Witter fight will always be there for Hatton and he can fight him at a later date even if he loses now to an opponent.

The same cant be said for a match up with Pac, Pauli, a Mayweather rematch, possible Cotto etc. These fights will not always be there for Hatton. A loss to Witter, on points, after another Witter fight sticking the place out yet again, will take all those possibilities away. In fact it will take away all those big match ups for all fans...


British fight fans may lose the possible of seeing three or four truely great world wide match ups for the sake of seeing one UK based fight, that if true to form will be unappealing, and Hatton possibly may lose on points.

Tough one for Hatton.

Well it doesn't matter who Ricky fights in his next five or ten (if he goes on that long!) fights - Witter will be (to quote Richard Marx) 'Right there waiting for you' - he isn't going to shut up until he gets the fight!

I can understand what he is saying about the payday, but feel it is rather crass - I would love to give my worst enemy a kicking for 36 minutes and be well paid for it!

 

Obviously Hatton wants bigger fights the bigger fights where he actually has a chance, throw Juan Diaz and Manny Pacquaio at him Hatton will lap it up, offer him Shane Mosley and Miguel Cotto, Hatton will run a mile.

Hatton is a joke.

At least Witter has said he wants to unify, and looks like a Kotelnik fight is going to happen.

Look at Hatton's record over the last 4 years, could Witter be in there? Yes. Is his record worse because Witter isn't there? No.

It's plain to see for any non biased boxing fan that Hatton's recent record speaks for itself. I can back that up for as many threads as you want to make.

 

For a British Boxer its good at best otherwise, its hardly that great.

 

Well, last time I looked he was a British boxer. And it's a great record, as anyone can see who isn't :| because he's popular.
