It's certainly a fight that HBO would care more about than Witter. There's quite a good chance of Hatton-Cotto in the next few years I'd say.

Seen again in the Daily Mirror today Richard Schaefer saying they're serious about Mayweather-Hatton II at Wembley...

The man has so many options, why would he choose Witter.

I could understand him picking Cotto above Witter, but not PBF again.

The No. 3 was infact Tszyu, as opposed to Castillo. In any case, I wouldn't say Castillo was shot, but was admittedly past his prime.

I agree the WBU was stupid, but to me there is nothing wrong with vacating titles in order to advance their career - what is your stance on Antonio Margarito vacating the IBF 147lb title to have a shot at Miguel Cotto (as opposed to his mandatory Joshua Clottey) - is Margo ducking too?

If he's a realist he wouldn't fight him again, unless of course he's prepared to take another whipping to add to his bank balance.

fluxstuff, of course he's going to fight Mayweather again. It's the biggest fight out there, if he refuses then he's the stupidest person in the world.

You might not be confident in Hatton, but I'm sure Hatton will feel that with 80,000 people in Wembley, a better referee, less nerves and a better gameplan, he might have a chance. (He might be wrong, but that's what he'll be thinking, because he'll be completely confident he'll win)

    By the way....

    Unlucky Junior.

Just goes to show again how silly p4p lists are, Tszyu was brilliant but so inactive he couldn't be expected to be at his best.

I wouldn't go so far as to say Margo is ducking Clottey, nor would I say he's getting a "shot" at Cotto, neither are the champion in their division, it's the two top contenders fighting eachother so i have no prob there. if Mayweather in fact fights Hatton or DLH again before either of them then I would definitely say he's ducking them.

Frank Maloney who promotes Hatton and African and Commonwealth champion, WBC number 6 contender Ajose Olusegun that Witter needs to get past him to get the fight with Hatton. Witter has avoided Ajose for years ever since Ajose was the Commonwealth mandatory contender. Witter has got some cheek saying Hatton is avoiding him when he has been doing the same for years.
