Great 6 rounds of action and credit to the Thai for a very good performance in defeat.

1: Nakatani 10 - 9 Salapat / Very cagey opening for 90 seconds then Nakatani landed and Salapat felt it.
2: Nakatani 10 - 9 Salapat / Salapat down from a slip but a closer round for me.
3: Nakatani 10 - 9 Salapat / Game effort from Salapat but better shots from Nakatani
4: Nakatani 10 - 9 Salapat / Salapat had his best bit of work but Nakatani winning the round with his jab.
5: Nakatani 10 - 9 Salapat / Phonebox scrap for last 90 seconds and Salapat standing his ground.
6: KNOCKOUT! / Nakatani was building a head of steam and stepped on the gas and delivered some heavy shots for a knockdown. Salapat up and still trying to fight back but in the last few seconds Nakatani landed the 2nd knockdown to end the fight.

Good win by Nakatani. However he needs to chill out and don't even think about fighting Inoue next. If someone like Petch can land and hurt you, just don't wanna think what Inoue can do to you.

The Top Rank commentary blowing smoke up Nakatani's ass. IMO Nakatani is like the Gervonta Davis of the lower weights. Multi division champion hard hitting southpaw, who has mostly fought B level opposition. He still needs a lot of work before he fights Inoue.

With the Takuma unification gone and Tsutsumi/Nishida/Takei unlikely to do an unification with him, I'm starting to wonder if it is better off for Nakatani to just go up to SB now, and get a fight or two in against a contender and get his body fit into 122.

Naoya got Goodman and MJ for the next two reserved so he's got time to fit in. Dunno who would accept, but Picasso or Cardenas or even Tapales?

    The KO.

I can't believe Chitpattana ate that shot at 0:52 and didn't go down. That was nearly the same counter that laid Maloney out.

Cafu is a good fighter and the money will be good for him and help his family but he didn't won that fight. They robbed my boy Josey.

I'm actually hoping for an immediate rematch. Teiken's got the money to afford it on their next card and Cafu will probably end up making more than what he can make in any other defense, and won't be a guarantee to be eaten alive in an unification against Bam (death) or Martinez.

Africa lost their only world champion and immediately gained another, which is pretty cool.

Pretty much. It´s just logistics and from what I have gathered, Thai fighters come relatively cheap. It would probably be a lot more expensive to fly over a Mexican than a Thai of same quality and experience. I am fairly certain that the average Mexican boxer earns more than the average Thai. So they would likely demand quite a bit to make the trip.

Plus there are a lot of good quality Thai fighters at the lower weights where Japanese excel.

Do you think Tasana Salapat was better for Junto Nakatani than Navapon Khaikanha ?

Normally there will be a rematch for Kosei Tanaka against Phumetele Cafu and Kosei always want a rematch against Kazuto Ioka who is ranked WBO No4. But Kazuto Ioka think about his retirement but it will be another opportunity for him to have a big fight if Kosei Tanaka the Monster of Chukyo wins the rematch and get his WBO Super fly world title back.

Apparently there will be a rematch too for Seiya Tsutsumi vs Takuma Inoue (and Seiya said that Takuma beat him in the amateur in 2012).
