Both bite on their gumshields and go guns blazing. Cafu started out the round well, Tanaka pulled the tides, managed to hurt and overwhelm a tired Cafu, winning the round, IMO.

Probably one of the best type of 12R decision fight regardless of winner. No truly boring round, very close.

Good decision. Commentary was ignoring a lot of Cafu's work in the second half of the fight. Tanaka roard back in the second half but couldn't quite overtake Cafu given the positive start he enjoyed and the KD scored in the 5th.

 

It's been a hell of week for quality fights, no?

 

Amazing fight and performance by both. I thought the late surge by Tanaka was enough to get the nod, but the knockdown in the fifth was the deciding factor. Wouldn't mind a rematch.

Dang, I had it reversed. Unfortunate because I was rooting for Tanaka but can't say robbery either, it was overall very close and as expected the one droppage was the difference maker.
