Course not, Vitali gave Lewis an emeritus spanking, in the 6 years since the fight the beating gets more brutal every day. Have you learned nothing from the VK nutthuggers on these boards.

have you seen it recently? what - lewis was kicking vitali's ass?
i watched the fight impartially, in a bar with no sound, and a crowd of enthused watchers. all big hits were by vitali judging from the audience reaction, and it seemed like he was going to win at the fourth and beginning of the 5th round. the tide did seem to be turning though, but nothing really backed that because the fight was stopped.
A cut is a cut, it stops fights. that's fine. but cripes, someone had the fight 4-2 lewis? that's bias at it's worst...well, not quite as bad as cortez with hatton but...

Yeah, I've watched it again quite recently. The doc was checking VK's eye at the end of every round since the third and Lewis was targetting the eye. Both fighters knew there was a good chance that the cut was going to cause the fight to end early.

I didn't have it 4-2 Lewis, I had it 4-2 Vit at the time but a lot of the rounds were closer than people seem to remember. Given that Lewis didn't even seem to be trying to win the last 3 rounds, only to worsen the cut and get a stoppage it was not the spanking people make out now.

The fight was 6 years ago in any case.

Vitali was winning that fight when it was stopped. With the cut he had, he'd have been hard pressed to win the fight if it goes 12 rounds.

Lennox Lewis was whippin his ass.. not really. I think it was 4-2 Lewis, arguably 3-2-1. Lewis was clearly about to control that fight, though. Klit could have been KOed possibly by 10.

he is a bonafide top 25...if he stays champ for the nesxt 3 years, top 20 no doubt better than charles, corbett, fitzsimmons and langford
