Yes but not advisable. Having said that there are a few exceptions - think Chavez jr had no amateur expereince but someone will correct me if I'm wrong.
It depends on what state you are in if you are in the US. I think California you have to have am experience.
Amateur of course. I didn't see it as a goal previously, I thought sparring with the competing fighters was enough for me at age 32. But I'm doing good in the ring with them, so I thought why not test myself. It also gives me a goal in life again. I'll be fighting at 140 pounds, light welter. At the moment I'm 147 pounds, but I still have some fat to lose. Talked to my coach about it yesterday, and he basically said what took you so long.
Sure, but don't throw your panties in the ring, it'll distract me Sorry 'bout that So am I. I'm working out with a completely different state of mind now that I decided to compete. Missing a workout is no longer an option.
:happy :happy :happy Good luck! Hope you kick ass! Im so excited for you. When will your first fight be?
Good luck Remco. Have they introduced the mandatory cap of 34 in the states yet for am? I know there are many people here in Canada who are less then thrilled about it.
End of the year, but more likely the beginning of next year. I just missed the boat for this year I think but it's not completely inconceivable.
