Hey I just wanted to share this thing my trainer told me other day.
So sometimes I tend to overtrain a bit. I had run 9 km the day before and I haven't been running for that long and its the longest I've ever run in my life. So when I came in for training I was still pretty drained and was gassing out through the whole session.

Anyway so he tells me 'Calm down man, you have your whole life left to box.'

I thought that was awesome. You've got your whole life to box. Puts those petty discouragements and setbacks in perspective.

Yeah, if you're tired to the point where it affects your performance, then take an extra rest day. It's not going to kill you.

I really wouldn't just take days off when you are feeling run down, rather avoid getting run down in the first place, you can get into a very bad habit of running yourself into the ground, having to take days off, then coming back and doing it all over again. Build things up SLOWLY from a low starting point, use RECOVERY METHODS like foam rolling, ice baths, stretching and get things up to a great standard slowly and steadily. Don't rush it.

Yeh as Mr Small said basically if you start training smart you wont feel run down when your doing anything!

I used to just go hell for leather 7 days a week and did alot of long distance running! Once i started gaining a bit more knowledge and was doing less in terms of time ( quality not quantity basically) and resting up properly i got soo much fitter! You dont get much benifit out of a session if your feeling run down and over trained however if you want to box you should never skip the actual boxing.

So maybe you need to look at your training and why you are feeling like this
