Just a quick reminder: The real middleweight division champion is still Golovkin

Canelo in fight I won 3 of the first 4 rounds clearly and the last 3 rounds clearly that's 6 right there, I personally gave GGG all the middle rounds and believe that's why people think he dominated but 1 round either way and a win for either is plausible in fight I at least.

That's funny, you say Canelo had a better defense but GGG landed more shots in both fights. Also Canelo had a cut over his eye as long as his eye, lastly of the ringside media that are paid to judge and report the fight "if i remember correctly" 39 had GGG winning,17 had it a draw, and 2 had Canelo winning.Thats because they weren't paid extra to make sure Canelo wins, they judged it as they saw it.

I had fight #1,8-3-1 for GGG .I had round 1 even, round 2 and 3 for Canelo, rounds 4,5,6,7,8,9,10,&11 for GGG,and round 12 for Canelo.in round 10 Canelo started out good and edged the first 40 seconds or so but got dominated and chased the rest of the round, and round 11 wasn't even close, clearly a GGG round.

Golovkin landed more jabs. Most of the jabs that landed were measuring jabs or caught by Canelo's gloves. In fact, Golovkin landed an average of 2.5 punches more per round.

Canelo landed more power punches, but not only did he land more power punches, he landed the cleaner power punches throughout the fight.

Canelo gets cut in the same place from time to time, and sure to GGGs credit he capitalized on Canelo's scar tissue over his eye. Golovkin also got a cut, and had welts all over his face and head. Also, Canelo landed more body punches, and by far the better body punches.

Canelo made Golovkin miss at a higher rate, and evaded or rolled with all of Golovkin's power punches save a small handful that got it, while Canelo was landing his power punches cleanly.

Golovkin criticized Canelo for boxing him in the first fight and begged for MX style for the rematch. Golovkin failed at MX style, the real MX brought it to him, even making Golovkin retreat at times.

Most of ring side press does not get paid.. you think boxinscene, fighthub, and all these other low budget boxing media outlets make money? Lol. Im sure they barely make enough to stay afloat, and at best pay for some of their Bill's at home. These are not top grade reporters, they are reporters who can't cut it in the big time, and know as much about boxing as your average hardcore fan.

Many pro fighters pro trainers, boxing champions, and boxing living legends had Canelo beating Golovkin. I would rather side with that consensus over the ring side media consensus.

Have you ever seen the De La Hoya-Mosley rematch? The one where Mosley was roided to his gills.. if you watch that fight, it's clear as day DLH outboxed Mosley, and you ask most boxing experts and they will say DLH won? In fact it was so obvious DLH won that the FBI raided Top Rank office looking for evidence of foul play...... YET, 80% of ringside media scored it for Mosley.

What does that mean? That ring side media can be very biased and or they like most fight fans do not know how to properly score a fight using the 10 pt. Must scoring system.

GGG did enough of all the above to have Canelo running for dear life throughout most the bout. So he clearly won.

Canelo was in defensive mode for about six rounds. We can say it was from rounds 4-9. And even in those rounds Canelo managed to outland Golovkin in power punches and body punches.

In rounds 10-12 Canelo brought it to Golovkin and landed some of the most vicious pop punches of the fight, so quit with the hyperbole saying Canelo ran for dear life.

Someone running for dear life doesn't land more power punches, and cleaner punches than his opponent.

    What a stupid post.

First of all, Arum was investigated because there was suspicion that he righed8the Mosley fight against DLH because of their fall out.

Second, why would anyone believe DLH would be conspiring with Byrd considering you need a minimum of TWO judges to score a fight in your favor to win.

Think about it. Why would DLH risk going to jail, losing his company, for ONE judge when you need at least TWO JUDGES. LOL

Golovkin didn't even blink while getting hit with Canelo's best shots, and GGG's jab was as powerful as Canelo's so called power shots throughout both fights.30 seconds of mixing it with Golovkin doesn't make up for the running the next 2.5 minutes. Canelo probably went through hypnosis to build up his confidence to stand in front of GGG for fight #2 but it still wasn't enough, well it was for the judges.Canelo came out on top only because he is boxing Golden goose. At worst it should be one win for GGG and one draw. But this subject has been beaten into the ground already.

In most Canelo fights there is at least one ridiculous judge, and you need to win on only one more of the judges cards to win a split, but she was the only obvious one ,there could be more.Remember Delahoya needed Canelo to win badly, he waited 1.5 years for this fight and his Golden goose had been ridiculed harshly. There was no room for defeat, and as we all know Delahoya's judgement isn't always the best, you know "posing in fishnets for a prostitute for example".Just saying.

I don't see it but hey to each their own claiming a 8-3 card for any fighter is just obvious bias and being a fanboy hell I'm a Canelo fan and can admit GGG did decently in fight I yet you haters can't give no credit face reality GGG barely managed a draw in fight I then after talking all that trash got dominated in fight II.

What you’ve got to realise with the Canelo nut lickers like Flipper is they change their modus operandi to suit whatever agenda benefits their outlook on Canelo at that point.

Flipper would say Canelo outboxed GGG in their first fight and GGG was aggressive but ineffective.

Then in the rematch it’d be GGG ran and Canelo won because he was the aggressor so called “Mexican” style (you know that style when you swing and miss and get your head jabbed off and outboxed).

He’ll flip and flop to suit his needs.

No it’s not at all, a fight can be close but competitive yet have a clear victor.
