A successful fighter is always hated on, that's well known already. Muhammad Ali had his shares of haters, Ray Robinson, Ray Leonard, Marvin Hagler, Roy Jones, Lennox Lewis, Mike Tyson, Evander Holyfield and MANY more just to name a few there.

As long as they keep winning and back up their talks before the fight people will continue to hate till they retire or are close to it. The hate surrounding Lewis was INSANE and I was around to see it, same goes for Holyfield, Tyson, Roy Jones, Hopkins, DLH, Mayweather and others. The RJJ case is the most popular and most recent, the hate surrounding him was 10x worse the hate surrounding Mayweather, just look at how he's praised and appreciated now that he lost and is past his prime. People are like that, when a fighter is in his prime the hate will be on till a loss comes, this thread is true in many ways, many will deny it but the facts are out there. Jermain Taylor is a good recent example, Bernard Hopkins, Roy Jones, Wladimir Klitschko, Floyd Mayweather and currently Manny Pacquiao.

Appreciate them when they're fresh and bringing the best fights to the public before it's too late, hating is fine as long as there is some sort of appreciate down there then it's all good. Hate is a part of a sport, as much as support is.
