:good Glad you had fun over here. Our politics and our politicians may be flawed, but by and large, America is still full of some very decent, down to earth people. I'm glad you met a few. I knew this would be a tough fight for Taylor. Call Froch slow and unathletic all day, but he's a big, strong super middleweight with power, a chin, and an uncannily relaxed style. Fights with Bute and Kessler will be fantastic. Can't agree more. I'll never remember Taylor as a great fighter, but he is one of the great gentlemen of the sport.
yeah post fight taylor was respectful and didnt complain about the ref, very sportsmanlike, its like the opposite to zab judah!!
Well done for making the trip over to back Carl, I imagine the early rounds made for uncomfortable viewing though. Froch seemed so nervous and very stiff, stiffer than usual the occasion seemed to get to him with the partisan crowd. It was an amazing turn-around, I didn't see it coming anywhere near in the first ten rounds. I bet the finish blew you away!! (and quietened the crowd :good)
Agreed, whilst Froch was very impressive in the press conference, the back stage pics relayed to the crowd just before the entrances, Carl DID look very nervous. Believe me, he can fight much better than that, and this fight will improve him no end, especially now he realises even the hardest chin can be dented. And yes, for me the ending outdid anything I've ever witnessed in sport
