If he beats Canelo, more than likely Cotto would have to fight GGG so all can find out who the real champ at 160 is. If Canelo wins, Cotto v. Canelo will be made and GGG will have to wait a while for a big match unless he moves to 168. He would beat Froch but him going 12 rounds vs. Froch would be dangerous for him.
i'm sorry....don't quite understand your logic. so, right now, canelo and ggg are the top contenders for cotto, but if lara beats canelo, cotto will have to fight ggg? how about lara vs cotto? or are we not interested in seeing that?
So Cotto would "have to" fight GGG instead of making about 3x as much by facing Floyd or Pacquiao? Yeah, don't hold your breath on that one.
