Just because a Boxer is not well known, or has lost, it doesn't mean they're a Bum.

This happens all the time on this site, an opponent who may not be well known to some fans is announced to face a well known fighter and they are automatically decried as a worthless bum and that they will lose, nevermind the fact that a lot of fans have no idea how good or bad they truly are, because they have never seen them fight. They jump to conclusions without examining any of the evidence, and convict the opponent as a cherrypick and the marquee guy a coward for fighting them.
Just because someone is not well known it doesn't mean they lack value, just because someone has lost in the past doesn't mean they are easy for the famous guy to beat, just because someone has been KO'd it doesn't mean they can't improve their defense and get better.

Imagine had GGG came to America in 2010 or 11 when no one knew who he was and fought Maravilla, and lost like Dzinziruk, he would be written off as a joke Eurobum that Sergio was feasting on after he won the belt, but Dzinziruk was a undefeated jabbing machine that many guys didn't want to fight, but because he lost that made him a bum who was never any good to start with, which isn't the case. Danny Garcia comes to mind many people didn't give him a chance to beat Morales, they didn't even know who he was but he was written off and even after he dominated an admittedly shot Morales, still no one gave him a chance at beating Khan, but again he exceeded expectations. Then the same thing happened with Herrera when Danny fought him, Danny's role had reversed, Herrera was the cherrypick without a chance, then he showed his worth by embarrassing Garcia.

There are many fighters who've lost, been KO'd, and have no fame to speak of for a variety of reasons, yet many of them are legit quality talents that would give any of the top guys a run for their money, but for some reason they're not marketed well or fought the wrong guy early in their career and lost and are never given a chance to live the their misfortunes down, because in boxing no one is capable of getting better, or redeeming themselves because there is nothing worst that losing, that means your not all man, if you get KO'd that somehow means your lesser than, your a glass jawed bum, its boxing the objective is to win, someone has to lose on points or be KO'd, if everybody who doesn't win every match become jokes then almost everyone who's ever put on a pair of gloves must be some form of a loser.
Recently unproven guys are being thrown off on in spite of the fact that no one knows how good they even are yet like Algieri, Postol, Santa Cruz, Quigg, or Frampton.

    Marco Antonio Rubio
    Nonito Donaire
    Mauricio Herrera
    Alfredo Angulo
    James Kirkland
    Orlando Salido
    David Lemieux
    Alexander Povetkin
    Austin Trout
    Andrezj Fonfara
    Gabriel Campillo
    Jean Pascal
    Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.
    Adrien Broner
    Lucas Matthysse
    Lamont Peterson
    Robert Guerrero
    Jhonny Gonzalez
    Juan Diaz
    Yuriorkis Gamboa
    Amir Khan
    Joshua Clottey
    Curtis Stevens
    Gabriel Rosado
Daniel Geale and many more are all bums and cherrypicks at this point, as crazy as that is,yet they and many other fighters would be very rough fights for the name guys but they're all losers and no one wants to give them any credit or even a chance, because of a perception that been formed in many fans minds.

Does your chin hurt in the morning?

I mean, i can only imagine one person can only sustain so much slapping of another mans balls on the chin.

Mayweather has you looking a damn fool.

Who knows how many losses Mayweather would have, since he ducked Prime Marquez, Barrera, Morales, Margarito, Prime Cotto, Prime Mosley, Martinez, Williams. But since he's so very concerned about his health we'll never know, he's a Pvssy..

Your post makes too much sense and as such is not welcome on this forum. Kindly edit it to make it more along the lines of "so and so is a coward/steroid cheat", make sure to use race baiting and if possible, try to play the race card.

Overall, we don't take kindly to people who like and follow boxing here at ESB. Let this be your first warning.

I was mocking the current paradigm on this forum that degenerated from boxing discussion to racial wars and personal vendettas. But I feel like it was lost on the audience :(

no but there is such a thing as fighters being way overrated or fighters who claim to be the best while being protected and fighting bums.see broner who should have at least three losses on his record and andre berto.ps peterson is flat out bum and a cheater.

I am not close to being a fan of Broner, but at 135 he was very good and at 140, he still could be a force, though not as likely, he jumped up too far in weight and paid for it, his ego got the best of him and it serves him right.
Peterson doper or not is not an easy fight for most 140 guys, and shouldn't be written off.
