Just because JMM gave Pacquiao hell, it doesn't mean Floyd will

I don't agree with your assessment and I don't think your argument brings anything new to the table. It's definitely gonna take a great counter puncher with perfect footwork and good defense to beat Pac... Floyd brings all that **** to the table in spades and other intangibles like ring superior ring IQ. It will be a close fight and if both guys bring their A game I think Floyd wins a judges decision.

I don't think Pacquiao has changed all that much since the second Marquez fight, he's just gotten tighter in the areas he was complete in by then. It just became more apparent afterward because of his opposition's condition and styles (not to discredit him.) That being said, I think Floyd can throw combinations when he wants to, but his output won't be consistent enough to stop Pacquiao. Marquez not only threw combinations but closed the distance with forwarding foot work after hurting him. This is not something Mayweather can do risk-free. A hurt Pacquiao is more than willing to throw five sharp shots back. His reach might be able to keep him at bay for a while with long-range straight shots, but Pac's defensive angles give him as much an edge as his offensive angles and he is quick enough to counter Mayweather's pretty predictable counters.
