Ooooooooooooooooooooooooo, sorry Amy but that's completely wrong. Slow long endurance training leads to muscle loss as well as SOME fat loss. Shorter, INTENSE sessions are far, far better than losing weight than longer, less intense sessions. Weight lifting is better for fat loss and lean gains than jogging 3 miles is. Intervals are short and intense, it's just a fact that the human body responds by retaining as much lean mass as possible since it's all being used in the intense sessions (is needed), but the fat is not needed - so it goes to the fat for energy and sheds it to make life easier next tiem. Something along those lines, anyway. Sprints are THE best way to get lean.
