Yes I agree can't stand the man myself...........but I love my boxing and while ever box nation brings me some of the quality overseas fights il keep my subscription:and I believe sky have upped there game since boxnation arrived, which it needed to do....but the fact remains sky wouldn't bring you the amount of quality overseas fights. That box nation is doing.
I've yet to sign up and im glad that I never jumped on board right at the start. I've managed to catch everything online so far. Don't get me wrong, if they were to offer more competitive UK bouts, keep showing US bouts and have an HD version of the station, i'd sign up in a heartbeat. This doesn't look like happening any time soon so i'll continue to wait on the sidelines.
No I agree on that and that will be a factor should I ever re-subscribe, theres always a chance after a couple of weeks a couple of good fight are announced and Ill miss it and get it put back on. I won't lie, I threw my toys out the pram earlier and was in a poxy mood anyway, the Cleverly news tipped me over I think.
your £50 or more a month to sky gets you, phone, broadband , 5 or 6 sports channels, sky atlantic, HD etc £10 a month on box nation doesnt even get you whats advertised - 2 live shows a week and never mind the show quality, picture quality and production quality
did u phone up a month before the contract ended to say your not keeping sky? if not they're still most likely charging you happened me last month.
What a bunch of tight fisted sods. Moaning about paying a measly £10, what is that anyway? about $15 or something? You know you could probably sell The Big Issue for 2 hours and be able to cover the months subscription, or alternatively put 30p aside everyday. In America sometimes you have to pay $75 just to see one fight!
It's going to **** the likes of Groves up. After the Degale fight, he was in the public eye. He then should have been out on Sky where he could build on the publicity. Daft move signing with Fwank.
Agreed he's lost momentum IMO, He did look likely to sign for Matchroom but they looked at it wisely really and felt it's not worth signing him when he's got GBP owning part of his career. I think they'd of been better just being a free agent and looking around..
I'm trying to balance between me happily paying £10 for a couple of domestic bouts and overseas bouts per month VERSUS them not remotely delivering on what they promised.
I do think they've spoiled the goodwill the channel had originally. It seems a strange outlet for domestic fights, but a natural fit for international bouts. Also, I'm glad it put the shits up Sky.
