Cotto did do much better than Canelo vs Mayweather but I would love see the two of them go at it if Cotto disposes of Rodriguez.
If by doing better you mean losing more rounds and almost getting KTFO in the last one then I agree] Yes, I'd say he did ! He came to fight and by doing so he gave FMJ a hell of a fight, that i'm sure many here were surprise to see including you. He mixed it up and took chances...Canelo, didn't nothing...you call that a fight...he came for the check, and thats it.
I had the same thoughts until the Trout fight, he didn't KO'd him but for sure, he'll destroy Miguel Cotto. Cotto doesn't box all that well, and doesn't move all that much these days. Cotto won't resist 12 rounds of power (and speed) by Canelo. It's true that Canelo's stamina is an issue, but Cotto is done (something that him and many others doesn't realize).
:yep Better jab....controls the middle of the ring better...better leverage oh his shots...better body puncher.
hmayweather didn't hurt his elbow either in the canelo fight cause if mayweather wouldn't have hurt the elbow he would have probably hurt the canelo just as bad if not stopped him
he tried using his legs in the cotto fight but cotto just knew how to fight him better than canelo did remember he took the fight to canelo from the start until he hurt his elbow than he just boxed him but he never intended to take it to cotto and when he did he also ate some jabs. right now floyd is in a eague of his own and it's just that simple. the only one that can answer who gave the harder fight is mayweather and none of us
Not only did Cotto do better against Floyd...so did: Guerrero Mosley JMM Baldomir Hatton Judah I can do this all day.
Canelito's body attack is nothing to write home about. Where was it in the Trout fight:think The only Chuckie's body attack looked good was against jr ww Josecito Lopez.
