Gatekeeper at world level, journey man is someone like Johnny Greaves or Kristian Laight not Soto Karass

I was commenting on the stoppage losses you ****ing idiot, I know he's been dropped a bunch of times, and Sotto Karass is a contender/gatekeeper.

That would imply only world class fighters beat him Gomez, Rosado El Harrak amongst others are not world class.

I'm not actually a big fan of Brook.

Nope look at the Welterweight division skill wise..who else has the boxing ability of Brook, It's just an opinion Laz, surely you can see how talented Brook is, even if he has a lot of flaws in other departments of his game.

Berto? No, Alexander..It's debatable, Devon is more proven for sure, Malignaggi? No, Mike Jones? No, Bailey? No

It's not that ludicrous a statement is it? :good

It wasn't meant to imply that, just if you beat Karass you could mix it around the world scene and by that I mean be in contention for top 15 spot

I respect anyone's opinion, sure. I don't see the skill all that much, in all honesty. I would put guys like Alvarez, Lopez, Bradley, Alexander above him. Even Malignaggi, really, even though he has no power, is a fast fighter and I wouldn't be surprised at the least if Malignaggi beat him. He has decent punch variety, a nice-ish stance, but like in his last few fights, he's not exactly shown us something out of this world. He's done his job against guys he's always going to beat and even then, he has still been caught time and time again. He either has massive lapses in concentration, or his defence is just very bad in the later rounds. I debated this a while back and some guy told me that it's just the "ingle style". I don't know much about that, but getting hit continuously is not impressive and he had no answer to Jones' flurries.

I'm not completely sold on Brook's outside problems either. He's shown lapses in his other fights and this was no different when he has stepped up a little. We'll see how he goes, but I just don't see it with him.

He was mentioning how he never got out of first gear and all, but in my opinion, that's nonsense. He was fully pouring it on Hatton but he just sits back after he unleashes something and admires his work and then allows the other man to come back. He never goes back to what works for him either, which I found quite weird, and this was pretty evident in his last fight also. I'm going to give the guy the BOTD though, since he says his nose was broken and all, but I don't see too much of the talent some mention, man. He looks real nice in the early going, but just lets it go when it goes on and on.

We'll see, though. If he's too become world level, he's got to be able to have a higher output and some damn good stamina, because he really did struggle last night with a man who he was expected to put a performance on against. Great heart and a good fighter in my books - I still don't like him, though.

My comment was nothing to do with who Brook can beat, because he's clearly nowhere near top 5 in the division, but if anyone apart form Mayweather and Pac were to stand at range and box Brook, I think they'd come off worst, Brooks a very good pure boxer.

And I know you've never liked the lad Laz  He'd still beat up Khan though ;)
