if 3G cannot beat the one sole elite he has faced, it wont be good for his legacy. Thankfully faith in 3G is strong in me, I believe he can not only win but add further elites after he takes Chunky at smw.

Just don't pull a disappearing act on September 16th after this old shot shell of a fighter rips your boys entrails out.

Lol something like that and re Golovkins age it is what it is,he’s approaching the end of his career and there’s absolutely nothing wrong in Canelo facing him now wether he wins or loses as that’s just boxing, someone has to be there in GGGs last few fights so may as well be Canelo.
It is funny though how even Jacobs never hid the fact that after watching Kell Brook the most unlikely of opponents stand up and have some success only then did Jacobs feel like he was worth taking on as prior to Brook I can’t remember the last time Golovkin had even lost a round.
Funny how it took a few solid rounds off Brook to convince others he was worth the risk and again that’s how Boxing genuinely works.

You won’t hear it from me anyway as Gennady Golovkin is a great scalp at any stage of his career and I truly believe it’s not as much about his age but the blueprint that Jacobs and latterly Canelo used against him that made him look less than stellar.
Imo he looked great against Brook three fights ago and also looked mega against Vanes only a fight ago and I guarantee if Jacobs and Canelo had fallen into the slog it out with Golovkin trap he’d of looked great then as well.
If Canelo changes his mindset and goes for the knockout he’s more stupid than I thought as trading with Golovkin in the centre ring is only gonna go one way.

This is how I can confidently say that Canelo whilst talking himself up about knocking Golovkin out will do anything but and will likely fight the same way and you know what good luck to him as I’ll be the first to tip my hat to him if he wins.

Most of those people saying GGG is old are also saying GGG wins.

Sounds like a preemptive excuse to me...

Not really, can’t speak for others but even a less than great performance from Golovkin is still good enough to win the majority of the rounds which is why his age doesn’t concern me.
If he looked poor against Vanes then it would be time to retire but I’m sure he’s gotten a few more great performances in him even against A grade opp like Canelo.

Last point Golovkin at 36 still puts on a heat and fights every minute of every round that still puts younger guys to shame so if Canelo can deal with that and come out the winner he bloody deserves all the accolades in my book.

He’s 36 , he is old and yes if not shot he is clearly past prime and because of that clenelo can actually beat him.

If Canelo wins he will get credit. From what I see most people pick GGG to win, and I think the odds will favor him.

Alvarez will not dominate Golovkin. But he might win, yes.

So if Golovkin getting old isn't a reasonable explanation for Canelo dominating a guy he could barely draw with last year, then what is? Canelo magically a level above where he was last year? One's more believable than the other.

    Golovkin IS old.

I don't know how anybody except a blind fanboy or a munchkin with an agenda could deny it. He's also slower and less fluid than he was 4-5 years ago. It's undeniable. There exists this thing called "film" whereby we can compare his various fights.

    That said:

I would have to give Canelo credit if he does well* because even this depleted version of GGG is a killer and is, as of now, the best 160 fighter on the planet.

*(as opposed to winning by crooked judging, which it seems to me is a staple in his fights)
