AJ is gonna have to throw more than shot at a time.

The more combos AJ throws he can hurt fury.
Hes gotta go to the midsection. Stay close and get dirty.

AJ is gonna have to sacrifice defense. Everytime Wlad through punches he was scared to get countered by Fury. And Fury has fast counters.

The longer the fight goes the less AJ's chances of winning are. AJ gasses out often.

AJ has to fight this fight the way he fought before he faced Wlad .

Throw combinations and be the last one throwing at the end of every exchange. Furys defense starts to crumble the longer the exchange goes. Unfortunately that isn't AJs nature and he would probably gas trying that strategy.

Oddly enough, what got AJ into trouble against Ruiz is exactly what I think would give him success against Fury.

Yeah he has to get Fury trading with him, it could back fire obviously but it's his best shot at victory.

The more combos AJ throw the quicker his gas tank will empty. Fury’s #1 weapon is his awkward feints to go along with the head movement. He’s constantly feinting like he’s about to attack which freezes his opponents offense and forces them to reset. Klitschko was able to drop AJ and land big shots because AJ was there to be hit where as against Fury he couldn’t never plant his feet to land his powerful jab or hooks. It’s no coincidence that Wlad and Wilder spent most of their fights trying to figure out when to attack vs actually throwing punches..

AJ would have to fight Fury the same way he fought the Ruiz rematch.. Jab and grab it’ll be brutal to watch but it’ll be effective to say the least

    I kind of agree.

Wlad was never a counter puncher though, he was like a lot of quick fisted guys, used his speed to simply beat his opponent to the punch, he was never the type to make you miss or draw a lead and then counter. So he never had the skill or muscle memory to pull it off vs Fury.

Joshua is a natural counter puncher though, that's where he'll do better than Wlad and why Fury will box more rather than try to walk Joshua down like he did Wilder. There's a much greater risk of getting countered vs AJ.

Landing in combination vs Fury is not going to be easy with his head movement and agility. Your opponent has to be there in front of you for you to throw in combination and Fury simply won't be, he'll slip the first shot or get caught and then move off leaving the following shots hitting air. Joshua needs to back Fury up to the ropes where he can pin him down, that's when his combinations can be effective.

Backing Fury up to the ropes won't be easy but it's possible. Joshua ironically must adopt a similar strategy to what Fury used vs Wilder. Fury like Wilder is a reactive fighter meaning he responds to what his opponent does, he looks to move away or slip punches, he doesn't just stand there and block shots on gloves. That means a good jab mixed with feints can make Fury move and that response can be used to back Fury to the ropes. So jab, jab, feint, wait to Fury has backed himself into the ropes and then unload.

Joshua has got to be patient can't just rush in and hope to walk him down via sheer aggression, he needs to be smart and pick when to be aggressive and when to expend energy as he can easily gas out at times. Be cagey when in the middle of the ring, he isn't winning this fight in the centre where Fury will out box him, use the jab and feints move Fury back to the ropes and then open up, make the fight take place on the edges of the ring where he can compete.

Joshua's right hand will be key. He usually telegraphs the right hand by lowering it before throwing it. He did it even in his last fight, it's something he's never been able to fix. But he can disguise and distract from it by jabbing and feinting with the left hand, use the jab and feint to disguise him loading the right hand to be thrown. Inoue often uses similar tactics when he's winding up to throw a huge bomb. Make the opponent focus on the other hand while you load up the KO punch.

Fury is open to the right hand but it's the overhand right that gets him usually. Was an overhand right that Firtha rocked him with, was the an overhand right that Cunningham and Pakjic dropped him with. So joshua should look to mix up the right hand, don't just throw it down the pipe, mix in overhand rights which will arc over Fury's left shoulder to connect with his head, mix in chopping right hands when Fury does tuck up to his right side much like Wlad did in the last round of their fight to hurt Fury, throw rights down to the chest like Wilder did to drop Fury in the 12th of the first fight. Joshua needs to keep Fury guessing how the right hand will be coming, can't just throw straight rights all night.

Suffice to say Joshua has a hell of a hill to climb but if anyone can do it right now it's Joshua.

AJ needs a Ko and that also in the early roumds, no way in hell will he outbox Fury.

Also there is no guarantee AJ can deal with the same tactics that Fury used against Wilder, Fury will be the significantly bigger man with the faster feet and he has shown he can carry his 274 lb frame and still have the gas for 12 rounds.

    80-20 in favour of Fury

Wlad won the 2nd half of Fury match, once he figured out Fury's style. Fury was not that impressive, and he did not outbox Klitscko at all. He just confused Klitschko with his weird style in the first half of the match.

This is garbage. Fury outboxed and totally confused Klitshko throughout the fight. So much so that Klitshko could not steal a decision in front of his home crowd. Fury's style was all wrong for Klitshko who did not have the answer to the puzzle and the ability to do something completely different to win a fight. Wlad at best has a punchers chance against Fury and even then he will need to put himself at real risk and be brave to land it, Wlad was not that type of fighter.

Tyson Fury is not the same boxer as he was over 5 years ago.

He's even better now. I like the version who showed up against Wilder 2. He can still dance and box off the back foot but he has now adapted and evolved by learning how to fight big.

Both AJ and Fury like to set traps and counter. Fury has a better jab and movement. I see him pinching rounds because of that. AJ way behind on the cards and him emptying the tank late on fury in desperation, will he get him out of there?

I don’t see it and this is coming from an AJ fan

It's a shame we'll never know, since Pulev has informed us he will expose Joshie's mental weakness and overcome him.
AJ thinks he grew up in hardship. I remember crossing the Bulgarian border and seeing dogs eating the corpse of another stray.
They didn't have English liberals to pamper them the way AJ did. And the same with Pulev.

Fury-AJ will be the fight that could never be because AJ kept losing.

I think this fight will always get made. Even if it's far too late like Tyson v.s Lewis, it'll still get made - there's too much money in it for it to not do.

Was an awful fight. There were rounds where Fury landed 6 punches and Klitschko 4

Can’t imagine sitting through that again once was enough.
