    I'm looking forward to watching this DVD as I havnt seen much of Pep but I hear he was top drawer so I got this DVD........
    Anyone recommend any more good DVD's to get of Fighters that they have seen that are watch-able quality???

    Not bad at all! Where'd you get it from? I've got a Max Schmelling set on the way, but it only has about 9 fights or so. :D

    Bought myself a Willie Pep career set a while back but haven't really got around to watching it without any distractions.

    A fine fighter and one whose career set is worthy of being in anyone's collection.

    Though, I wish he really had won a round without throwing a punch as it's one of boxing's greatest stories but sadly just a myth!

    Also, his series of fights against Sandy Saddler prove, beyond all doubt, that no matter how good/great a fighter you are, if someone has your number then they've got your number.

    Excatly.

    It also goes to show how remarkable Pep was when you consider what he achieved after the near-fatal accident.

    Wasn't he out of the ring for a year? When you think how often they fought back then that's like a modern fighter missing 3-4 years out.
