First time i watched it I had Leonard winning it. Second time I had it a draw, 114-114. Probably the third time I watch it i will have Hagler winning haha.

While SRL did work more than just 30 seconds.. Was this also said straight from the horses mouth as the way he was trying to steal rounds? Furthermore, even if it wasn't the last 30 seconds of rounds... just simply saying SRL throwing flashy flurries most of which didn't land or were blocked won him sounds rounds that IMO he didn't deserve

I had it a draw with Hagler retaining the belt. But going into the fight I firmly believed that if Leonard went the distance and did fairly well, he would be given the decision. It didn't take a brain surgeon to figure out who the crowd...and the powers that be wanted to win. Ray pretty much dictated the way the fight would be carried out...number of rounds, size of the ring, type of gloves etc..Marvins camp should've have seen the set up ahead of time and dictated thier own terms but I think that they were so confident of a desicive Hagler victory that they didn't care. Bg mistake on thier part. Still I thought Hagler should've kept the title on a draw.

If Haglars camp saw this coming they should have trained to knock Leonard out....Should have been more aggressive.

Leonard won a close fight, helped mainly by winning all but 1 (rd 5) of the first 6 rds.

Leonard's just playing up the drama with the 30 seconds thing. You're not meant to take it literally. There's a difference between working hard in the last part of the round and the only fought for 30 seconds thing that floated around this fight for years.

I'm not really sure where it first popped up though, to be honest.

Im not saying he ony worked the last minute of each round..Im just saying its a fact that his trainer smacked the canvas when there was only 30 seconds left of each round.
SRL admitted this in an HBO specail all about him. He also admited that in the first fight with Duran it felt like everytime Roberto hit him him it felt like he was getting hit with a brick.

Hagler coming out right handed in a fight where Ray is the fan favorite was not smart. He gave away rounds in an important fight.
