My favorite fight of all time. Such a technical and tactical masterpiece by both men. I especially love Mike's educated pressure in the first half. Keeping the pressure on, cutting off the ring fairly well, but still only looking to draw Kalamaby in and counter him really. Don't think anyone could roll a right and counter with an uppercut to the body quite like McCallum.

    Thoughts?

From a textbook boxing perspective, quite possibly the definitive filmed middleweight bout.

One of my very favourite technical two-ways, along with Conteh-Saad I.

i agree:good McCallum slips the jab and hooks beautifully and its nowhere near as easy as he makes it look.

It isn't just his body punches that amaze me about McCallum, everything he does is superb.
His foot work at times is reminiscent of jersey Joe Walcott.his upper body movement is Archie Mooresqe.his multiple jab is pin point accurate.
Even the very basics that every amateur learns, parrying and countering jab for jab.he used everything.
No wonder the big four wanted nothing to do with him.

Tremendous technical display by both fighters with that said i prefer Toney-McCallum I.
