idk about beating PBF...but he is pound4pound in my opinion. but no one likes his style which can be boring, but i like pure poxers. i think he beat taylor at middleweight and i believe he is the man to beat at 154
Spinks is annoying... every single interview he says the same thing... "Imma do what Cory Spinks do best..." I can't stand him. As far as skills, he's very athletic and slick, but runs way too much. As much as I hate to admit it, he is probably the man at 154... sucks for that division. Who honestly likes watching this guy fight?
The most exciting part about a Spinks fight is his cute ring entrance. After that, it all goes downhill in terms of excitement. HA HA. Seriously, he poses no threat to PBF. The only threat he poses is him getting jumped after the fight by fans for running for 12 rounds. No one except Paul Williams and maybe Cotto beats PBF right now.
Spinks is an excellent fighter though he is very boring. He has excellent speed, skills, and a nice jab. The fact that he is a big risk with little reward prevents him from getting fights.
He is a boring ass fighter but he is no diffrent then mayrunner. I dont care how many PPV he sells he is boring. They are both great boxers but the 2 are horrible fighters.
Spinks is FAST with both handspeed and footwork...he's an in and out fighter that darts out of harm AFTER he tags the opponent with soft punches. However, he seems to have added some pop @154. He's an excellent safety first style boxer. Stylistically, he's a big problem for many fighters. He should unify with Alcine and if he wins, then fight for top status with Forrest. Maybe Karmazin-Simms versus the winner. Mayorga-Forrest 3 would be nice in the 54 mix, not just for Vernon's redemption/revenge.
Always on target. :good I for one, don't see him beating Floyd though. Floyd is too versatile and adaptable. If he did manage to lose a close decision in the first fight, he would win the rematch.
