He's flown under the radar quite a until he was outboxing GGG. Is he genuinely world class? The best at his weight? How far can he go?
He is a good fighter and qualified to fight any fighter at welter with a legitimate chance at winning. I am not rating him above any of the top welters, just in the mix.
I think he beats most at welter, the spence fight will tell us more. Could the loss and getting back down in weight affect his chances at welter now? Bradley is all wrong for Brook I've always thought.
You'll probably get a lot of biased Golovkin haters dissing him- the same people who in a few months time will be refering to Errol Spence as a 'hype-job' when Brook picks him apart (or alternatively they will claim Brook ducked him because the IBF rules state Brook is entitled to 75% and Spence wanted more- like they are trying to claim Golovkin ducked Jacobs). However yes, he is a superb fighter, one of the most complete all rounders in the sport. I'd pick him to beat anyone at 147 or 154. In fact, I have my doubts whether anyone other than Golovkin could beat him at 160. If Al Haymon or Bob Arum had the nuts to put their top stars in with him at 147 (they don't), he would've proved that already.
He is the best at 147 besides pacquiao. I don't think he beats guys like Julian, Lara, and the charlos at 154 tho, I think that's a bridge too far.
Yep fair point against all those in his weight class he will have day where he wins and days where he loses probably,I'd like to see him against Thurman,Garcia and of course Spence the monster in the pack who by the way I've not seen any of the other top guys even dare talk about let alone wanting to make a fight with him. Brook has made a lot of fans by showing up the rest of the middleweights in Golovkins division and more so by wanting Spence on the back of that pasting,we will see how good he is against Spence,I actually suspect Brook could surprise everyone as Spence will get hit by Brook for sure?
I think he beats Pacquiao at this stage. Brook has totally the wrong style for Lara. I don't rate either Charlo. Not seen enough of Williams to judge.
Yeah Brooks proving that he's been avoided,I always thought it was Brook to be honest but when you discount what fans are saying and focus on what his peers say you can tell that he's very well respected in his weight class?
Exactly. You never heard anyone other than Amir Khan, who was lying through his teeth, say that Brook avoided them. it was just people who looked down Boxrec looking for HBO names. When Brook's people say those in boxing know how good he is- that is true. One evaluation of the boxing landscape and you know if Eddie Hearn asked Bob Arum or Al Haymon what fighters they have got to fight Brook, they wouldn't risk a single one of their superstars and prefer to profit from a loss in house.
I can pretty much guarantee you that you'd rate Jermall Charlo quite highly if he ever faced Kell. I like Brook and think he has the chance to get some terrific matches set up at WW, but he needs to be cautious with the idea of jumping into the JMW division. Some of them are naturally MUCH bigger men than him with skills to boot. I don't want to go into every hypothetical matchup with Kell and the top tier guys at JMW, but he more than likely wouldn't see the final bell against Jermall.
