Just how good is Kell Brook?

Just another title holder in Welter, on par with thurman, Bradley spence, definitely not a cut above.

 

Brook has never fought a southpaw of Lars's caliber, with Lars's ring IQ, speed and reach advantage. He would be hard pressed to win a fight against Lara, I think that Lara happens to be the better fighter.

Lara has never fought someone who's as adept at fighting southpaws as Brook, about 80% of the guys in Brook's gym are southpaws apparently.

I don't think he would be hard pressed to win a fight against Lara who is someone I see as massively overrated by hardcore fans (let's be honest if the likes of Floyd/ Canelo/ Golovkin had performed as poor as he did against the likes of Vanes, Molina, Angulo their haters would have had an absolute field day) and legs that he relies on more than anything looked to be slowing significantly in his last fight.

Reach advantage would be negated due to Brook's distance judgement- he doesn't even have that over most welterweights, but you don't notice as it always appears as if Brook is the one keeping them at distance

People would be suprised how easily Brook won it in my opinion

 

If he's not damaged goods, he definitely can beat anyone 147-154. I'd love to see him face Canelo or Lara. The Charlos, Andrade, and Spence are a step below. Brook vs Cotto would be great too.
