Tony was a badass from south of the border who came to the ring to hurt you seriously. I particularly liked his body attack and the way he developed pressure on his opponent, Cintron, Cotto, Lujan, Lewis, Martinez, the guy was just too big and intense. I think Shane exposed him not only due to the fact that Nazim caught his team with the illegal wraps but also Paul Williams, maybe Clottey, Manny and then Cotto again... He definitely was not elite material b'cause he was so slow and punched wide, his footwork was very poor, almost dragged his feet and he was one-dimensional, couldn't feint or smoothly deviate from the one path of attack.

No boxing skills at all , but made up for it with his massive workrate, massive heart , massive chin , incredible stamina ( Never seen Margarito gassed in any fight ) and signature bodyshots .

The guy was an RELENTLESS animal who always looked to break down his opponent who just kept coming and coming at you with everything he had .

 

His cheating tainted his whole career. Who knows how long he has been *****ing out and using plaster.

 

He was a good punching bag.

 

The Cotto remacth was going the same way as the first.

Margo's eye lost him that fight.

But Cotto looked like a beast in that fight, the best he looked in a long time and thats the Cotto Floyd fought, but people say Cotto was not prime for whatever reason.

 

Margarito only won 1 round in the rematch on my scorecard , Miguel was outclassing him badly .

In the first fight although he lost the first 6 rnds , Margarito was highly competitive and hurting Miguel multiple times .

In the rematch , he was nothing close to competitive at all .
