Just how good was Azumah Nelson

Quick question: When you were watching the fights, were you facing towards the screen or away from?

 

I'm no great fan of McGuigan, but he was way past his best when he lost to McDonnell, who himself was never more than European level.

 

He was a great fighter that is why us Aussie fans are still upset about the robbery against Fenech after Uncle Jeff kicked his ass in Las Vegas.

 

Just dislike the spin and narrative people try to portray McGuigan as a great fighter. This guy lost to Cruz at his peak and McDonell later. He beat an old Pedroza to win the world title.

 

Uncle Azumah literally murdered nephew Jeff in Australia. I know you have still not got over it. I watch the fight most days. Always nice to give an Aussie a good hiding down under. I tease though because we do respect Jeff who took his beating like a man which is more than can be be said for McGuigan who avoided Nelson like the plague.

 

Common knowledge that Uncle Jeff phoned it in for the rematch.

At the end of the day everybody knows that Uncle Jeff was robbed even Azumah himself admitted that Jeff was not up for the rematch.

 

Uncle Azumah never did so please stop lying. We came to Australia, we saw Australia and we conquered Fenech in Australia. That is how Azumah Nelson became a national hero in Australia.
