So, he's going to fight Kambosos this year, and like the title, how good he was,his career and can he beat the Aussie?

So,the video above is his latest performance, and I think he fought pretty different than his any other fights,he also appears in a slightly worse shape too, with him rope a doping instead of pushing the action.

But I think his experience and tactics improve a bit, knowing that he had less stamina and preparation than the younger man,he defended and tanked most of Hernan's shots until he got rocked hard and saved by the bell in round 8,with Daud closing the show at 9,he shows that he could face actual adversity and pressure there.

But then, Daud still had the potential of appearing in this fight's shape, looking much slimmer and much more ready to fight.

Now for the style and skills:I think he's like a worse Iran Barkley,I think he kinda lacks the feet,he could move at times but not that fast, nor the defense as he mostly used a standard high guard that was exposed multiple times in high level, but he had that punch, combinations, and pressure plus the heart.

The thing about Daud is that he's always going to be dangerous until the final bell rang, and while he did lose most of his big fights,he did gave those top fighters(ex: Caballero, Guerrero) some problems with his relentlessness.

How he'll deal with Kambosos:I think Kambosos really ranks higher, fought higher competition and actually had better skills, but Daud does still has chances to pull off an upset here, Kambosos wouldn't be outboxing for the fight and Daud was always going to be a pain to deal with at slugfests.

Kambosos's plan here should be draining Daud's stamina first and limiting his defense for a beatdown.

For Daud's chances,he must get Kambosos to trade leather with him and actually hope he won most of the exchanges, then he must survive and get some hold on the inside vs Kambosos to actually had a chance of beating that talented pressure.

For his resume, again, it's not so shiny by he did face some good fighters.

Choi Tseveenpurev: entertaining Mongolian fighter based in England, although his record does look kinda,or even very much padded he was a legit good, dangerous warrior.

Frankie Archuleta:I think he's a good contender, beat Johnny Tapia once and had another fight vs him that he lost, but it's close, also fought fighters like Burgos and Kelley but loses.

Robert Guerrero:maybe the best showing of his career, gave him a short war but it ended in a head clash that could've been argued to not stop the fight,if it end with a technical decision it could be a draw at most imo.

Celestino Caballero:the first loss of Daud and the fight that showed most of his flaws, his lackluster foot speed and simple high guard did make him fall short, but he still managed to be competitive at times with his combinations.

Chris John:historic moment for Indonesian boxing history as it's the first world title bout fought with two Indonesians, despite getting beat and schooled clearly Daud showed a strong performance, Chris never let him get his comfortable range for those big shots.

Simpiwe Vetyeka: actually good fighter that got the torch Chris John passed to him and Daud fought well despite the schooling until he was stopped.

Anthony Crolla:maybe the best modern opponent for Daud, unfortunately I can't find a full footage of the fight,so from what I know so far is that fight did took away the chances of a shot vs Loma and a chance of getting more publicity to global boxing enjoyers.

Overall a solid 6/10-7/10 career, he's not the best but he's a solid, legit fighter that always gave everyone his all,I'm wishing him the best to win against Kambosos at the age of 37.

Kambosos looks to be boxings one hit wonder. Having defeated Teofimo Lopez Kambo went on to get dominated by Haney twice and then dominated by Loma once. Since then Haney's stock has dropped and Loma seems to be semi retired. What makes these fights worse is that they weren't really fights but rather than turning into such things Kambo just got slaughtered.

A victory over Kambosos at this point is not that significant, a loss vs Kambo would however be very significant.

I wouldn’t be surprised at all if Yordan beat Kambosos even at age 37.

Kambosos is straight up terrible. Let’s be real, he got lucky with a fluke win over the worst ever version of Teofimo, then he went on to lose 4 fights in a row: lost 24 rounds against Haney, got beat by Maxi Hughes (but robbed him), got totally dominated and stopped by a semi-retired shot Loma.

Even before Teofimo, Kambosos showed zero evidence he was anything above a continental-level gatekeeper.

Deep down even he knows he’s a D-level fighter, which is why he jumped into the Haney and Loma fights to make those big paydays as quickly as possible. I don’t buy his “Spartan warrior” BS at all.

    In his prime, very good.

As to fighting Kambosos in 2025, uh ...no, his chances are not great.

Fluke win lol he abused Teo.. wasn't a come from behind KO.. Lopez has always been hit & miss performance wise.. wasn't anything wrong with him they were just looking for excuses afterwards cos his ego couldn't take it & the result was never supposed to happen, Lopez fought like he always does in that fight & was fit throughout.. BS excuses.. it was a bad style match up & Kambosos had the night of his life. That fight alone disproves your silly D- fighter opinion.. D- fighter.. ridiculous ffs he won undisputed.. what are u smoking? So what if he lost to Haney, Haneys a SNAC fed juiced up WW.. & Loma is an ATG. So what? Hows that prove he's D minus?

Yeah, that's what I'm a bit concerned of,but I think Yordan does have a chance of getting more respect from foreigners here, and if best scenario happens where he actually came in good, lean and ready to fight shape he might go competitive.

    Great post.

You can’t go 12 with Teo, beat him senseless and be classified as a bum.

Kambosos is a very good fighter.

I can´t believe that he is still fighting! Dude has been around forever. I remember him scoring a sweet upset KO in Russia, which earned him a shot at Crolla. But that was ages ago.
