A lot of people in this thread don't know **** about boxing and aren't even worthy of a real response. This is one of the funniest threads in esb history.

Can't wait for the eastern europeans to take over the UFC too.

Then Boxing would get mainstream by the next generation of casuals again.

I agree its not to say that history would have been completely changed but more eastern European fighters are turning pro, but still not in high numbers, eg Azerbaijan, kazakhstan and Uzbekistan 3 of the top 6-7 amateur boxing nations still have barely any boxers going pro

You have to admit thought the the eastern European fighters are just so strong. It's unbelievable how strong they are. Other parts of the world don't produce such power and strength.

It's about style not power it's also on the mindset.

Of course styles makes fights. Power is important too. Most ATG fighters are offensive fighters. Guys like Whitaker and Mayweather are the minority. At the end of the day it's still the pain business which is why a guy like Kovalev is having so much success right now.

Guys like Ray Robinson and Ali fought all over the world and beat boxers in every country. Their greatness wasn't a matter of just fighting other Americans. Joe Louis might have only fought in America but there are Argentines, Chileans, Germans, British, Canadians, and Spanish on his CV. Go look up Archie Moore or Henry Armstrong. Their passports saw a bit of use.

You are a moron. Marvin Hagler has 52 knockouts. He's one of the hardest punchers ever at middleweight.

Marco Huck is a good boxer. Ali was a great boxer. Ali beat several super heavyweights. Marco Huck never even unified the cruiserweight titles.

Ali was great beating the boxers of the era with inferior training and nutrition, a much inferior era to modern boxing also because Eastern Europeans weren't allowed to go pro. Put Huck there with time machine and he'd wreck everyone and make it look easy. Huck would bully Ali in the ring.

Some people need a massive reality check how better modern athletes are.

The boxing landscape would look different but that does not mean that the true greats wouldnt be where they are. You would just have a greater mix and greater rivalries.
