my favorite fighter. aggression, combos, power, speed, footwork, technique, good boxing brain when it was needed and crafty and cagey when he needed to be....and a soft chin to make any fight interesting.

it;s really sad to see him in his last 2/3 fights where he can barely get his feet off the ground.

Always enjoyed watching Norris fight...and he came to fight. Good power, fantastic speed...Would be very, very avoided in today's climate.

I`m ******ed ? Wow another class act with small minded expressions as well. !! Hagler didn`t clean house ? And Graham :) :) is proof ? All legit contneders during his reign were dealt with. Business reasons ? Please educate us with your `inside` knowledge. The only thing your boy cleaned up was the canvas with his ass that rode the canvas so many times ;) So, do tell, are you saying that legit jr. middle prime Meldrick Taylor is THE signature victory for Chinny Norris ?? BTW, again learn your boxing, McCallum never pushed for Hagler, fact ...Taylor was in the same `prime` as Naploes and Duran ? Are you serious ????? Taylor was extremely damaged goods by then. While Duran and Napoles were still very competitive.Just not at a higher weight class against great champions. Yep, you know your boxing ;)

So whats the real reason that fighters like Norris, McCallum, And Curry never gettin the big pay day fights?....I think Leonard. Hearns, Duran thought it was to much of a risk.

Leonard, Hearns, Duran, Hagler fought superfights. They'd fight anybody if the money was right. They were at the tail-end when the guys you mentioned were starting to emerge. Curry came closest to a superfight but then he lost to Honeyghan and was never really the same. Norris wasn't on anybody's radar when these guys were fighting superfights.

I dont think he was a great fighter but he was fun to watch and a had good combination of speed and power. His chin and defense were vunerable.

I enjoyed following his career but I wouldve like to see him move up and try to fight one of the 160lbers at that time rather than cherry pick older and smaller fighters.

Wouldve loved to see him take on Toney in the early 90s. Toney wouldve knocked the **** out of him but It would have been fun while it lasted.
