I think physically Mayweather is stronger than he looks. He doesnt have the most imposing physique but he seems very strong at welter.
I think he has become a strong WW. I dont remember thinking he was as strong at LWW

He has become stronger and in the mosley fight he really showed his strength. Mosley couldn't push floyd back when they tussled and Ortiz was 15+ pounds heavier than floyd and floyd backed him up. Ortiz was hit with shots which he never saw coming before and still never got KO'd. Berto landed a cracking right hand on ortiz which he never saw at all and it was one of the best KD's i have ever seen yet ortiz got up. Floyd's grown in to a very strong WW and from the video's i have seen he does more weight lifting than he use too. He bulked up a bit since coming back from retirement he looked big vs marquez in his comeback fight.

Yes you are correct (weightlifting = olympic lifts). Olympic lifts or variations are great for explosive power (along with plyometrics)

Also you are correct in terms of comparing one cpmbat athlete to another, but my point was, in terms of just strength using weights, deadlifts/squats are great!

Mosley MAY be able to bench 300 for 1 rep, no more than that. Floyd around 200. These aren't strong guys weightlifting wise but Shane's not bad. On the other hand I was putting up 315 in high school at 170lbs. 405 was my best before I tore my pec off the bone. That was at 21 years old and weighed like 245

I agree with previous poster that his balance has a lot to do with his strength.

Mosley's stronger than that man, he was the captain of his school's weight lifting team. I saw my dad put up 320 at a height of almost 5'7'' and a weight of 140 in his 40s. Mosley's a real lifter. Floyd isn't.

This whole thing about Floyd all of a sudden being this powerful freak is just a myth, He doesn't out muscle his opponents, he wins the wrestling exchanges because of leverage. Not saying he's weak, but when people say that he's stronger than Mosley it just sounds silly.

The fact is you have no ****ing clue how much these guys can bench press... Not that it matters anyway because only someone who doesn't know what the **** they're talking about would use the bench press to gauge how "strong" a person is.

You're an idiot. I was responding to those talking about WEIGHTLIFTING STRENGTH. But i wouldn't expect someone with somebody's **** for a name capable of very much.

...And the fact remains that you have no ****ing clue how much these guys can bench. You're just talking out of your ass about **** you don't ****ing know, as usual. :yep
