But we know that if he wins it will be because Pac is above his natural weight class. That much is obvious.
There will be excuses, there are always excuses. The weight is going to be the issue if Hatton wins. I think the size advantage that Hatton gets given is being touted a little too much. He has an inch in height, loses an inch in reach and both are good at putting weight on after the weigh in. We all know that Pac looked sharp at 147 and as he has aged I think under 130 might be a slight struggle for him now he is older. So I won't agree with the Pacquiao fanboys when they blame it on the weight class, but I'm sure they will. Whoever loses there will be countless threads full of excuses, blaming all sorts of things, from trainers to age etc etc etc So thanks for the thread but I don't think it will make an ounce of difference.
no excuses mate. well some pac fans might post excuses but im not gonna be one of them. besides esb has knowledgeable pac fans and i believe that when pac loses, they will accept it for what it is. i dont know about the haters. nowadays the fan base of pac has better boxing knowledge than those idiots btw, you can argue that pac is above his natural weight should he lose...and some people will definitely use that excuse
There will be excuses, heck Pac's victories were welcomed by excuses. Pac's and Ricky's resume will tell the story. It will be great!
Sitting here in London, I agree. He'd also have to beat Mayweather in a rematch to be P4P#1. On the other hand, if Manny wins, then he is P4P#1 until Mayweather makes his next move (ideally a match between the two, but otherwise then things like the manner of victory against Hatton will come into play).
This is a fair fight between two guys of similar size. I pick Paq, but if Hatton wins , I'd say he raised his game and beat one of the best guys in the sport.
Gummo Dir. Harmony Korine 1997 A new kind of cinema. Concentrates on a series of singular exreme yet naturalistic set pieces rather than being driven soley by narrative: a bit like life really. Takes a few viewings to appreciate the genius of the piece, particulary how beauty exists even within the ugliest facets of the human condition. I could talk about this movie all day, but this is a boxing forum. Back on topic, I think that the size difference is of course an issue, but Pac's ace in the hole is speed, alegedly. So it is not as much of an issue for him as it would be a brawler moving up. Damn, it worked in his favour against ODLH (who, incidentley, WAS shot) Just making sure that all the guys saying Pac is so great now, wont say he was a bum if Hatton wins. That **** goes on waaaay too much on this site. I don't think anything needs to be said about Hatton losing because if he does there can be no excuses and he is the official underdog anyhow.
doubt it (im quite sure if not but all of esb are united on the fact that hatton wont become P4P best if he wins) im british but i would have him at a stretch at number 5 if he wins, dont be so critical as to point out that it is just the british claiming he is the best, :silly
I think the real boxing fans on here will give them both credit whoever wins. Whatever happens it'll be explosive hatton in 9.
I mostly agree... but the reason I did bet on Hatton was BECAUSE of the natural size so it will likely be the REASON as opposed to the EXCUSE. I agree the excuses need to stop, tho in some cases they are legitimite but it seems like its the thing to do these days, find a reason why a fighter lost rather than see how a fighter won. :thumbsup
