Just joined a boxing gym a few days ago.

    I've always kept my mouth closed and breathed through my teeth :s Breathing through my nose doesn't seem to give me enough air. But then again my teeth are kinda gappy

    there was this new guy at my gym last month, and he was wearing his mouthpiece while he hit the bags, and me and my friend couldnt stop laughing

    what's was so funny? I've been boxing since I was 12 and still do this.

    Just go to practice :p ask questions too, technique is prob the most important thing to get down

    1. Remember balance is the first fundamental to learn.

    2. Throw punches slow and perfect them. Build speed after technique. Power will come with proper technique and speed.

    3. Start building cardio. Once you start sparring you will realize quickly how out of shape you are.

    Fool, it conditions you to keep your jaw shut. A lot of people run with it too. It's not uncommon.
