Dont get me wrong..he gets cred for beating Lacy, Kessler and Hops..

But dissen Kelly and claiming a BS offer at that...c'mon mang' !?

Roy Jones TO Cal is what Dela Hoya was to Floyd..

and Kelly Pavlik is what Cotto and Margartio was to Floyd..

its all about keeping that 0 and $$$$..Which is cool, BUT stop with the EXCUSES and all the claiming legits THREATS arent worthy!! :patsch

WE (BOXING FANS) arent stupid, we see right through IT.
When A fighter makes silly excuses for reasons why they wont fight certain fighters then they DESERVE all the critizism they get from us, the CONSUMERS AND FANS :deal

FLoyd has face opposition 100x that of Calzaghe.

The only respectable name on Joe C.'s record is Hopkins, and there is a clear sense that he really lost that fight among a large portion of those who watched the fight.

I agree Yo, but while we consumers critisize these actions, we're still buying these bull**** pay per views like Calzaghe-Jones and DLH-Paq. In so doing we are perpetuating these guys to get the easy fights and preventing better matches like Calzaghe-Pavlik. If we rufused to buy the crap, then these guys would fight REAL fights, instead of nostalgic fantasys. The crazy excuses are just a bi-product of the avoidence of the fights for the FANS instead of the bank account.

Considering Joe has been on recored saying that he made 2 attempts to get Pavlik I see nothing wrong with what he's doing !

Protecting his 0 thats funny why the hell did he fight Lacy when everyone and their mother thought he would lose that fight ?Also why did he take on Kessler and Hopkins ?Were both fights a cherry pick ?

Floyd fought the best fighters around at 130-135, then he seemed to go for cash and names, and avoid the more dangerous threats to the zero at 147.

Calzaghe spent 9 years from 1997-2006 protecting the zero, then 2006-8 he fought good opposition. Now, with the RJJ fight, he has chosen money over a true challenge.

Calzaghe is therefore more culpable than Floyd in consciously protecting the zero overall, but it can't be denied that Calzaghe put his zero on the line against Lacy, Kessler and Hopkins, so he can't be accused of not risking his '0'.

No he meant to post another hating thread and i acknowledge the arguement for JC to fight Pav over RJJ but thats not happening yet, so ppl need to deal with it.

Alot of posters are so biased that they cannot see it, Pav fighting JC would more than likely result in a win for JC....and i will go out on a limb and say he will make it easy!

I must admit i have been wrong in the past, i got caught in the Hatton hype over FM and i was totally wrong (i thought it would be very close), i failed to see the true skills FM had and how he would nullify the hitman.

The same IMO will happen to Pav. These threads keep popping up again and again and again whereby we are all going over the same issues over and over again.

Many will disagree and think Pav will dominate JC and KO him, thats fine, but lets all leave it at that.

Btw i have never seen Pav adapt in a fight and use plan b, c etc.. (from his fights i have seen might i add, so someone might be able to educate me on this).

The key thing missing in this thread is that Joe atleast cleared out his division although late in the day. PBF or Pavlik etc etc have not even managed to do that. You can't make names appear and SMW and above don't have that many names :-s

I'm not arguing against the fight am i???

I would like to see the fight but this fight isn't happening yet is it. And in the process i expressed my opinions on Pav, thats all...nothing wrong there. Read my post more carefully.
