100x that of Calzaghe's opposition, that was misworded.

    Who:

    Corley
    Mitchell
    Judah
    De La Hoya
    Castillo
    Corralles
    Jesus Chavez

Overall better list of fighters he has faced when compared to Calzaghe.

I still think Pavlick is untested. Jermaine Taylor was over rated. I'd like to see him fight Kessler then see is Pav is the real deal. Right now, he doesn't belong in the ring with Cal. pav hits hard, but he's a little slow and his defense is porous.

Im not knocking Joe for fighting them (see my opening post)..but you cant compare them to Pav.. based on who they fought and beat. Who did they fight and beat?

We know what Pav can do, so does Joe and all of a sudden he isnt worthy? Huh? Its a risky fight....he does jab unlike Lacy he has accompolished more then Lacy...

They have both had a lot of soft oppbut Calzaghe fought Lacy and Kessler when they were considered threats!!

Floyd did not fight Cotto or Margo who were considered his threats.

Very simple Calzaghe has not dodged people like Floyd has!!

I don't think he is an ATG though.

This really is a bizarre situation for me to be in, I am often castigated on here as being a Calzaghe 'hater' (ridiculous), here I am being laughed at for defending the guy!

I didnt have a prediction? I thought Jeff Lacy was very limited..I thought that Omar Shieka beat him and rocked him when they fought.

I knew that Cal had stopped Sheika but didnt see it. I had only seen Cal fight twice before the Lacy fight.one of them was Mitchell.

but why are you asking me my prediction on this fight? Jeff had only like 20 fights when he fought Cal and Cal had 40 something?

what does this have to do with anything? the point is people didn't think it was such a problem at the time. as far as the majority of the boxing world was concerned that was lacy's coming out party (uhhhh not like that). joe was just a body on a high profile stage for jeff to chew through. the lack of respect that win now gets from chumps who shat on calzaghe before it is laughable.

I am sure that he thought that lacy was going to KO him, like most of us did. He was hyped up as the up and coming Mike tyson.

Calzaghe shitted on all of that talk!

Mayweather never fought many real live threats. Cotto, Margarito for starters. 154 Santos etc. 140 Tsyzu. He avoided the real tests in each division, racking up WBC titles. Still the best fighter in the world though! :good
