Just Make Crawford vs Porter already....

Bud is the man, I just don’t see spence ever making this fight

 

Crawfords instincts are light-years ahead of Porter's

 

Thurman is 5'7. No where near a massive welter

 

Sure, I'm not really debating that. It doesnt mean I wouldnt like to see him in that kind of fight

 

And a former Junior Middleweight... Have you seen his rehydration weights? Usually 160+. He's a big, thick, physically strong ****er, just like Porter - who's also 5'7 and a former junior middleweight.

 

To add some more context, he was walking around at 180+ lbs before his camp for the Josesito Lopez fight

 

I just confused about that. It was Peterson who he beat even though he lost that fight.

 

I'd love to see it. Just don't see a battle of insticts being that competitive between the 2

 

Yeah plus it will help to hype the super fight of Spence vs Crawford.

 

Porter and either Garcia’s get thrashed by Crawford.

 

I had porter beating Thurman, I think Crawford’s style is all wrong for porter. Where porter outjabbed and outboxed Thurman on the outside, Crawford wins that fight. Where porter borderline mauled Thurman on the inside, I doubt he gets inside vs Crawford unless Crawford wants to fight on the inside but if he does Crawford might ko him.

 

Crawford is cerebral, he dictates the pace and enjoys the luxury of choosing his shots and taking time to place them. When guys do try to rush him - His counters make them fight his fight. We saw gamboa try to pressure him and that turned out horribly, but porter is much bigger, sturdier and much more physical. Obviously time favours Crawford here - the longer the fight goes on the more class will separate the two. But I dont think its unreasonable to believe porters tactics, which he always employs, wont make the fight competitive for at least the first half by taking crawford out of his comfort zone. I'm not suggesting both guys will have to fight on instinct, I'm saying crawford wont be comfortable and will have to constantly counter while porter swarms him until he can gain some control over the tempo.

 

Thurman is short and not very muscular. He is built nothing like Porter, and quite frankly would get his arse whooped if he fought a live body at 154.

 

Thurman's a big welter. Danny's a big welter. Spence is a big welter.
