Haven't been to a live fight in a loooooong time. Looking forward to this one as it promises to be an excellent skrap.
Nice. This is probably one of the best fights that could be made this year, when you combine their standing and the obvious styles clash.
What I saw from Frampton's first fight on PBC, and then later against Quigg, I am fully expecting Santa Cruz to beat that arss. Frampton has no head movement, and doesn't have great footwork. He will face the same dilemma that Kiko Martinez faced under the same circumstances of being a short boxer giving up four inches in height, and significant reach inches as well. Santa Cruz by stoppage.
Some of those issues may have been due to struggles with the weight. Frampton doesn't have great head movement but that's usually offset by his footwork and his jab. He's usually able to out-class bigger fighters by out-boxing them with his superior timing and use of distance. It's possible LSC will just be too big and relentless - but I expect to see a superior Frampton this time and I think the fight will go to a decision. On paper, this should be a war and end by knockout but Frampton is deceptively clever. I think this goes to the judges.
Good I like to hear about people "GOING" to fights and really supporting vs sitting on their phone or computers being cynics.:good
Thanks, Willie:good. Can't wait to be honest with ya:good. Haven't seen a boxing match in Brooklyn since going to the Golden Gloves many moons ago. Concerning the other boroughs, I was at the both the old Felt Forum at the Garden as well as the Big Arena on more than one occasion, though. And then there was the old Sunnyside Gardens. Who do ya like in this one?
Most likely Santa Cruz will take it via MD or SD. Frampton can box his ass off but pressure is his weakness. Plus Leo is bigger and more experienced than Gonzalez Jr. who really gave Frampton the fight of his life on his US debut. Those Golden Glove fights are something that I've always wanted to attend even more than some of the bigger pro fights that I have been to. I like watching guys on the rise, they really fight they're hearts out.
To be fair willie Frampton turned in a boxing masterclass apart from round one v Gonzalez. Also gonzo is .....apart from major hand trouble.....a really big puncher, something lsc is not. LSC is the toughest test so far for Carl, but remember the reverse is also true here. Not a gimme for LSC at all, by no means.
Carl could have taken the Rigo fight, and when he lost people would have accepted that he lost to the best in the division. Instead, he chose to move up a weight class to avoid Rigo, and will lose to a man he and his team labelled a fraud ?
A guy moves UP in weight to face a 3-weight world champion.......and you're complaining! atsch :tired
My wife and I are going with another couple who are close friends. My wife and our friend are from An Dun. Gonna be some craic:good:good
:goodI like both guys. I love Mexicans in general, but my hearts in Ireland. I gotta go with Carl. UP THE OIRISH lol. Golden Gloves have always been great:good
Nicel, Clinton. LSC is overrated and will get shown up here imo. His output will be much lower than against his usual fodder, guaranteed. Framps UD with 2 knockdowns :hat
