fair reply. Clottey is being paid his highest purse ever. Its enough to guarantee his retirement if he plays his cards right. Look, if someone calls you up that you can win the lottery without your trainer, do you say, "no Mr. Arum, I'm gonna play f'n hardball and wait for my trainer's visa to renew" You or anybody else would be just dumb to not say NO in the pac sweepstakes.

Floyd Sr. probably wouldn't even train Clottey to risk being embarassed again by the Pacman.

What if I'm not white, its not a racist thing to say. Ignorant yes. Racist no.

I've noticed that a lot of them seem to be Amir Khan fans despite him never fighting outside of the UK.

Mayweather vs Mosley is just a far more anticipated fight involving 2 high profile welterweighs.

On top of that I think Mayweather's view of "Who doesn't take a $25 million blood test" has got through to more casual fans who see Pacquiao taking on a low profile and less dangerous boxer than the tougher fight.

Wow, you manage to insert that paragraph totally out of context and off the point. Impressive.

    Back on topic:

I'll answer using my "common sense".

The reason Pac isn't on media is because he's on training camp.

Newsflash: This week is the "promotion week" of the Shane/FMJ fight. Just like what Pac/Clottey did 6 weeks ago. Or any other major fight, they usually do a full week promoting the fight 8-10 weeks before the actual fight. The next time we will see them out of their training camp is a few days before the fight.

To those who are new in boxing, what i just said above is the normal routine how fighters do promotion.

Not really, Pacquiao refusing a blood test to fight Mayweather to fight a virtually unheard of boxer to the general public isn't going to get the casual fans interested.

Mayweather on the other hand is fighting someone everyone knows and who some see as just as dangerous as Pac going off his last fight.

That's why nobody cares about Pacquiao's fight, he skipped a blood test to fight a lesser opponent.

Why do you think nobody cares about there fight?

March 13th was set in stone, Mayweather or not. Mayweather avoided Pac as usual. 1st it was right after the Hatton/Pac fight, now its after the Cotto/Pac fight. what's next for the guy?

It's nothing to do with them being in training camp, from the moment Mayweather vs Mosley looked like being made Pacquiao's fight with Clottey has taken a back seat and here we are a week from the fight and it's still firmly behind the May 1st fight in people's thoughts.

I agree Clottey isn't famous at all, but you have to admit - during the time there's no other viable WW option.

Last i heard their gates are doing well and the PPV orders are coming better than the fight with Cotto. It's a fair point that FMJ/Mosley will do better, there's no doubt about it.

Last i heard, casual fans know that the fallout is due to the blood testing protocol. Casual fans knows that this is something new saying: "why would mayweather request that? The governing body whatever it's called should be taking care of that. Isn't negotiation is all about money/purse split - then off they fight?"

Also, to keep you up to date on the news. You can also say that - Pac gave an offer to fight Mayweather on that blood test (24 days), but Mayweather refused. But being an unbias me - i admit you can also say vice-versa.

Nope you're wrong. They're being talked everywhere too. For example, i see a couple of threads related to Pac's fight on this forum. But i must agree not as much this week as it's FMJ/SSM's promotional tour week.

Plus, it's 10 days before the fight of Pac - he's still training hard at this point. Hence media blackout to stay focused. Then Pac will face the media next week around 3-5 days before the fight to promote.

In other words, FMJ/SSM fight is on full blast promotion this week. Pac's fight is on zero promotion this week.

Africa is a continent of close to a billion people, not a single country. You really need to broaden your knowledge base my friend. Ebola is from Congo(which is no where near Ghana) in Africa just a swine flu was from Europe.

You guys keep talking about this big payday for Clottey but i havent heard not one figure on how much he is going to make. Can you tell me how much Clottey is making for this fight since you talking about lottery and big paydays for Clottey? How much is he guaranteed?

Clottey is guarenteed $1.25 million(Pac is guarenteed a little over $10 mill). Clottey is getting a piece of the PPV so he could end up making around $3 mill. Clottey lives in a modest apartment in Brooklyn and he a lot of people to care for. This is a life changing payday for him.
