Tommy Hearns would have one punished Chavez and ruin his chin. Too bad they were not on the same decade

Just to **** you off, I think Barrera has better top tier wins than Chavez, and a much more effective jab.

Seriously though, neither Morales, Barrera, or Marquez were in this man's league. The showing against Rosario is a thing of beauty, and the way a lot of posters on this forum talk about Chavez, it's evident that many haven't seen it.

Worst post of all time. You know **** all about Duran, so don't post about him. Period. You picked Chavez to beat Pacquiao, and at the same time, picked Pacquiao to beat Duran. It baffles the mind. Completely illogical

Duran did everything just as good if not better than Chavez. Period.

Spend some ****ing time at boxrec. Duran didn't have massive competition at lightweight, he hardly ever MADE the lw limit to begin with as champ, and aside from the first SRL fight his best win is against a so-so Iran Barkley. Benitez beat him easily, because Benitez is a better fighter. SRL humiliated him EASILY when he decided to fight his own fight. We all know what Hearns did to him. He's the most overrated fighter in history with the possible exception of Hagler or Pryor. JCC beats Pac, Pac beats Duran. Is that just an unsolvable riddle for you? JCC doesn't lose to De Jesus. Ever.

I don't know what your ****ing problem is, we agree on almost everything but you're always coming out with these bull**** ******* remarks. **** you.

Instead of looking on Boxrec, I prefer to get my Boxing education by watching the films, Bernie. Have you seen the way he handled Leonard in Montreal? Or how he completely baffled Carlos Palamino and Ken Bunchanan? When you discuss fantasy fights, you assume both fighters will be on their best form. At his best, Duran was a monster. He could close down the ring as effectively as anyone, and his head movement and footwork kept him from taking the kind of shots Chavez would often get hit with. Duran was a fantastic combination puncher, and was hurting much bigger men like Leonard and Barkley.

He'd beat both Chavez and Pacquiao at his best, no doubt in my mind. I don't need Boxrec to tell me otherwise, I watch the films.

I'm trying to urge you to go and watch some ****ing Roberto Duran. You underrate the man to high heaven. You have nothing to say regarding his mechanics because you don't watch his fights, you look at Boxrec and expect that to give you a clear understanding of the man's career. Bull****. If you would like, I could send you some Duran through post and I'm not kidding. Anything to rid you of this uninformed opinion you have.

I have the Duran career set, I've seen him fight many times. JCC would have beaten up Buchanan, smashed him into pieces. Palomino was past his best. JCC's defense was every bit as good or better, his punch was just as good, his combinations were crisper and more accurate, his bodywork was much better and his chin was better.

Duran is overrated. Horribly overrated, and 99.9% of it is because of one fight where SRL got pissed off and let his heart overrule his head.
