That was brutal..that shouldnt been stopped in the 7...8..9...10..or 11.

That fight arguably was the end of Lacy.

Lacy's face was an absolute mess. It was disgusting to look at. If he was white the blood would have stood out more distinctly, and the ref probably would have stopped it.

Definitely should have been stopped in the 12th

Maybe because Lacy always had a puncher's chance till the end and if he stopped it in the 7th, which I really thought he will/should then it would've been considered "controversial" to many since Lacy still had a puncher's chance as everyone would claim. Good thing they allowed it to the very end to block all excuses, even though it should've just been stopped right after the 9th in my opinion, the last 3 rounds were totally pointless and no one with brains would've though Lacy would have a chance to change it that late and after taking all those blows. But, people would still claim he had a puncher's chance so he was given that chance till the very end.

Lacy has a cool physique but unfortunately that means **** in the boxing world. He almost dropped a loss to Manfredo of all people a while back.

Sad but true, a man takes 9 minutes of needless punishment to avoid contraversy

birmingham should have stopped the fight at the end of 7 , he has cost his fighter the rest of his career.

caiz was a bit pro lacy , patting lacy on the back after rounds/docking calzaghe a point for the most innocuos foul/giving lacy 30 seconds recovery time in the 12th when lacy was out on his feet tettering.

but lacy wanted to see out 12 and gamely did so and i do not blame the ref as except in the 12th lacy had his legs under him for most of the fight.

it was lacys courage and birminghams ineptitude to see what was happening to his fighter that the fight went 12.
