    Wow.. I LOVE VITALI.

    Round 1 - ZERO Fng clinches.

    Everytime Briggs tried to come closer, Vitali tagged him and punished him.

    WLAD IS A SQUID.

    what a beast Vitali was.

    its a shame he let his younger brother shine.. instead..

    His brother ruined HW division with his dullness.

    Yeah, that fight was bordering on murder. Should have been stopped after round 5 or 6. We've seen the damage it has done to Briggs... he can't control the volume of his voice and only seems to know the words "let's go champ" now. Sad stuff :-(

    A level talent that does NOT KNOW OR DO THE FOLLOWING:

    -uppercut
    -fight on the inside
    -have good defense instead of illegal clinch.
    -doesn't throw overhand right

    Hmmm


    so, based on that, you would think Lewis is an ATG at HW.

    Vitali was Wlad with a chin... less impressive technique but he was warrior... twice he had to come beat up guys that had beat up Wlad. Vitali never truly lost... He was ahead on scorecard vs Lewis and was dominating chris Byrd before he quit.

    Vitali was a HUGE factor in the HW division, post-Lewis. Too many casuals truly have forgotten that Wladimir actually has a brother (who was also HW champ) cleaning out the remnants of that division for several years. Vitali was just an unorthodox batterer.

    Wladimir is the more technical boxer imo, but Vitali is the natural "fighter" so to speak.

    That fight was brutal, no wonder Briggs didn't fight again for 3.5 years after that beating.

    Vitali wasn't the best technician or the most aesthetically pleasing fighter to watch but damn he was effective. Tremendous work rate and he controlled range so well. Wlad has faster feet but Vitali has better movement, he knew how to keep and opponent at a distance so didn't need to clinch much because he simply outmaneuvers his opponent. He was out boxing Lewis for Christ sake, out boxing Lewis! That how good boxer from range Vitali was.

    I've always rated Vitali above Wlad since the early days. He knew how to use his size advantage so didn't need to clinch much and when he did need it, he already knew how to do it without the need of a boxing master like Steward in his corner. Vitali is simply the smarter boxer, less gifted but smarter and more versatile. To discover he had a granite jaw as well was just the cherry on top of an already amazing fighter.

    Sorry to say this, there is nothing great about Wlad.

    Vitali is a GREAT boxer.

    Vitali:
    Mean fighter
    Great chin
    Always ready
    Not affraid
    Goes to the body
    DOES NOT CLINCH EXCESSIVELY
    Left Hooks
    Right hand
    Over Hand Right
    Body Shot
    Shots from Various Angle
    Very good Jab
    Upper cuts
    Fights Tall and Short fighters very well (adapts very well that is)
    Always have Plan: A, B, C
    Ring intelligence and very smart
    Very good power
    Cuts out the ring very nicely
    Killer Instinct
    Great survival instinct
    Awesome defense.

    Wlad:
    Always ready
    CLINCH EXCESSIVELY
    Left Hook (barely used now)
    Right hand
    Very good Jab
    Very good power


    Who's the more complete fighter? and who's more technical?
    Just cuz Vitali looks awkward, does NOT make him less technical.

    He is centuries ahead of the Squid brother.
