Cotto remains one of the few truly gutsy, balls-to-the walls gladiators we have in the game today.

Unfortunately for Miguel, he's an easy mark for Sergio.

If you have an opinion you would like to share...share it.

"I don't have to state something so obvious:fight"

You come across like a little ***** on her period. So much attitude. You should learn how to communicate your feelings like a man, especially when talking to men.

Now on to the fight itself.

Martinez started his career at 147, moved up to 154, He is now at 160 where he has faced one alcoholic middleweight. Martinez is a small middleweight.

Cotto started his career at 140 where he was a huge Jr. Welter that would weigh up to 156 on fightnight. He moved up to 147, He is now at 154 where he has faced one light punching titlist. Cotto is a small Jr. Middleweight.

So they are one weight class apart. Martinez at 35 would drop 5 pounds to 155 where Cotto would have the benefit of not having to weight cut at all. Martinez is 5'10 inches tall, Cotto is 5'7 giving up 3 inches in height but has always fought southpaws very well.

Cotto at 155 would retain his 154 pound title if he loses. But if he wins...risk/reward factor is very high for Cotto imo.

Under ES's tutelage cotto can possibly make an interesting match. Cotto's attack is much more controlled when compared to williams he has a better jab and better footwork when compared to pavlik and pdub, sure he's much smaller but I happen to think he's will and boxing iq will take him further in the fight than many seem to think. Cotto might lose but he will gain pts in the process

There are several legit middleweights calling Sergio's name, but "the champ" wants to fight a guy who spent a significant portion of his career at 140. I wish some of you guys would at least try to stay consistent. You crucified Taylor for fighting Ouma. And you crucified Pavlik for fighting Rubio, a mandatory, who had 9 consecutive wins at 160. Don't tell me you can't see your own hypocrisy.

Cotto is my personal favorite fighter ever....this is why. Cotto is the mother****ing truth man.

Regardless I doubt Arum will give him to Martinez, but if it happens I'm sure the have a game plan and I'm sure Stewart will have properly trained and ready for it. I think they should take a Vanes or Chavez fight first though. He needs a tune up fight with his new trainer.
